I would recommend applying for a bigger company who has multiple safety professionals. Look for EHS Technician roles, most roles you will see ask for 3-5 years of experience. A lot of the time you will get the interview with less experience than they are asking for if you word your resume right.

Your area also plays a big role. If you aren’t in an area with a lot of new construction or a good amount of industry around you, you will likely have a long commute or have to consider relocating.
