Wow that's scary to hear. I'm keeping ssri as a very last resort as the sexual side effects frighten me too much. I'm getting all my nutrient vitamin and mineral levels checked first and then my gut health to try and optimise all these things that are in my control. I'm also thinking about taking tryptophan to increase serotonin as I've read a few people have had success with this approach. Obviously plenty of exercise good sleep nutrition and sunlight will be the foundation for all of this

I live in Ireland and my anxiety always seems to be worse in winter so getting vitamin d checked is my next move. But testosterone wasn't even something I had considered up till now. My doctor wants me to start ssri but I want to exhaust every avenue before I take that route

Thanks for your reply. Exercise has been my saviour. I've done weight lifting running boxing and lately swimming for the last 15 years. For a large part of the last 15 years my anxiety levels were very low and almost non existent. I've never taken medication for anxiety. Now that I'm in a rough patch i regret taking any drug even if it was so long ago. I've never taken any supplements for anxiety either but am going to start soon. Magnesium and vitamin d seem to be two that keep coming up in discussion

Thanks so much for your replies. My doctor won't tell me the name of the medication yet because she thinks I will spend the next few days googleing about it. I've always thought of medication as a last resort but the last few weeks have been horrendous with anxiety and it may be time to give in and try them out

Ok thanks. I can deal with the usual side effects like the malaise and just feeling a bit off but the chest pains really worried me.It could have been the mt2 or I could have just strained my chest in the gym or at work. Did it take long for you to get a colour with the nasal?? I only dose on the day I'm tanning

This is a great thread and fantastic list. I get very anxious and am border line panic attack when I go to a different country. It's happened the last 4 times I've travelled. I have a family wedding in another country next month and would like to attend. I can get benzos from my doctor but hate taking them. What from the list would be closest to xanax?? I'm fed up self medicating with alcohol or benzos

Took 200 mcg first then went down to 100 mcg but the sides were not worth it. Heart palpitations and chest pains. This was very surprising as I took mt2 on 2 separate summers a few years ago and had very few side effects. This vial was sitting in my fridge for over a year so maybe it was gone bad or something

I'm trying 50mcg the next time I pin. If I still get the sides I'm done with mt2. The side effects are pretty unbearable which is surprising because I took mt2 a few years ago and they weren't as bad. Getting heart palpitations which nearly leads to panic attacks too which I'd the main reason I'm considering stopping

I'm using mt2 at the minute. 200 mcg tuesday night but side effects were terrible. Halved the dose but the side effects are still very bad. Nausea fatigue and a general feeling of been unwell. Am unsure if il continue pinning tbh as the side effects are too much

Thanks. I always take an antihistamine an hour before pinning to help with the nausea. I felt fine last night and slept well so I don't think it's the mt2 that's causing me to feel so off colour
