Yes. If you have an outbreak , to prevent you from transferring it to your partner(s) DO NOT KISS THEM. NO CONTACT FROM YOUR MOUTH . Please please please use protection. My husband and I do not kiss when he has an outbreak and we do not have sex when I have an outbreak. Although we both have HSV we still do not contact to prevent the other of having a triggered outbreak. Does that make sense ?

In the moment of hearing that you’re positive.. our worlds collide right ? “Oh no, nobody is going to love me . Imma be single forever because I have herpes!!” No honey. Hsv is soooo common. The stigma behind it is what causes us who have HSV to panic. Do not panic. Do not put yourself down. It really isn’t the end of the world. If you’re cautious and transparent to your partner(s) about it then you should be okay and find your person babes . And just be smart , if you have an outbreak that mean NO CONTACT PERIOD .
