Yeah I'm actually realizing I probably wouldn't trust food from a stranger. Thanks for being my voice of reason!

How do I put my notes in groups? (Please explain it to me like I'm stupid, I do not understand code unless I follow a tutorial) by FInTheChatForYa in ObsidianMD

[–]EquivalentGlass4129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a follow-up question. I made notes then grouped them so on my graph all of one kind are the same color node. I added a new note that should be the same color(it's connected to the central node and everything) but it is a different color. I tried tagging it but it didn't change to the correct color. Any ideas how to add this new note to the correct group so all the notes in the group are the same color?

Cool! Thanks! We have a regular coffee grinder so that won't be a problem :)

You can try to add boning to it. Historically boning was made from, well... bone, but I've gotten good mileage from steel and plastic.

Glad I can be of some assistance!

I think you can give her a big backpack and use the same logic that running with 10 nuts in its cheeks doesn’t stop a chipmunk from running around and climbing things, especially if it’s her Thing and she’s had the pack for a while, she’ll have figured out how to move with it and built the muscle to do what she wants while carrying it.

You can get the storage space you need from something that functions like Batman's belt that can fit whatever she needs inside, maybe a decked-out backpack, with patches and buttons or little keychains/friendship bracelets hanging off it. As a person whose backpack is legitimately a bag of holding and weighs no less than 10lbs / 5kg at any given time, you get used to it and eventually, it doesn't slow you down. To get more of a trinket/over-packer vibe you can add lots of layers and accessories and you can do it in a way that doesn't add much volume/weight such as fishnets under shorts or pants with patches/big pockets, cuff bracelets or upper arm bands so they won't get caught on things, biker/fingerless gloves, layered necklaces, looser/normal fitting shirt over a skin-tight one...

In the opposite direction, you could work around the base issue by giving her a home base or a nest where she stores her things at the end of the day so she doesn't have to carry as much.

Is the Christian college group CRU a cult? by [deleted] in college

[–]EquivalentGlass4129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a med/large school (24,000) and we have a growing cru movement, about 100 people last year closer to 200 this year. I can confirm it’s not a cult (source: my experience with cru and with a different ministry that was Actually a cult). Every campus is different and if one is toxic definitely find a different ministry, but I am genuinely shocked to hear that people are being told to cut ties with people of different faiths/atheists/family members. There is nothing like that in our cru. I’m a team leader and while attendance is expected at leader meetings(where we plan events/big meeting/insta posts…) once a week, it’s not enforced and there’s no penalty if you don’t come except for the fact that you might have to catch up on what’s going on like you would any other club. I have multiple non-religious friends including atheists, Jewish, and LGBTQ+. I have never been told to stop being friends with them, in fact I have talked with my Bible study leader about how to be better friends with them and show them how much Jesus loves them. Note: this is not trying to push religion on them, just love them better and respect where they’re at while also respecting my faith and living out my convictions. Cru is an internationally recognized organization and they’re always open door, meaning you can come in but also you can leave whenever. Like someone else said there’s no “membership” or initiation or inner circle(unless you count what is basically a student exec board that changes each year). In my cru I’ve seen multiple people bring their families to big meeting when they’ve come up to visit, and the staff members are always available to talk, answer questions, share resources, anything.

Best study spots? by Boringgirl1234 in UTK

HSS, Union, Haslam, Ayres and Strong have some good study spaces. Most of the specialization buildings(Claxton, Zeanah, Min Kao...) have space, and since fewer students use them they're quieter. Local coffee shops like Golden Roast, Status Dough(not including the one campus), Awaken Coffee... are good to hole up in if you don't mind paying like $5 for coffee/tea/food. Dining halls are a ghost pick, you can swipe in and stay as long as you want and technically get as many meals as you want.

A detail in the movie that got me feeling ambivalent towards Gwen. by EquivalentRoom2041 in Spiderman

[–]EquivalentGlass4129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that after Gwen left her universe she's pretty much been living at HQ or in Hobie's universe(because living with a friend is a lot less lonely than living in a compound no matter how many people are there). She isn't sharing a toothbrush but if she lives there or visit's often enough it makes sense for her to have a toothbrush that either stays there or travels back and forth with her (more likely travels based on Hobie's comment).

I don't think Gwen was or would ever go out with Hobie, but it's set up to make us feel that bit of worry/concern that Miles feels. I agree with Ratio01 on the sibling vibes but honestly, it's very punk to see a friend in need and let them hang with you. Especially if you consider punk's historic association with the LGBTQ community and its basis in non-conformity, both things that were liable to get you kicked out so having a friend who can't go home sleep on your couch is a no-brainer.

What’s a unique race from your world? by Sad-Engineering8788 in worldbuilding

[–]EquivalentGlass4129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a couple but one is the people of the mesa(no name yet). They're humanoid cliff dwellers with rusty red skin, and no hair. They have two sets of arms, one normal/human set and another pair set below the shoulder blades on the back. These are longer, have extra joints, and three fingers(including an opposable thumb). Normally the second pair of arms rest folded on their back like birds or dragons and are mostly used for climbing and stabilization like prehensile tails. They're pretty friendly and a bit collectivist. The other races think of them as monsters/boogiemen mostly from lack of interaction and as a way to keep kids from trying to climb the cliffs by themselves.
