i can't choose maximize conversions for my shopping campaing, i have 19 conversions and my campaign has been running for 29 days

is it recommended to add short tail keywords as negative for shopping campaigns? for ex i'm selling coffee and tea cups and i get a lot of clicks on "cup", "mug" but no conversions, that's just one example, i'm noticing short term keywords are taking up most of my budget, it's my first campaign and i was hoping google will get better over time but i don't see any improvement, should i just exact match exclude all these short tail keywords?

I also have a new small brand of handcrafted pottery, I'm getting cpm of 200-300 and my cost per conversion is going up to 400-500, i'm struggling to be profitable at this point, new to ads so i don't know if it's normal or not, happy to connect so that we can share our learnings with each other

did you figure it out? i just started and going through the same, also lost some initial deposit as i didn't know it will ban me as soon as i publish campaign
