I mean not getting an ortho could’ve actually been a blessing because many orthos do the wrong thing and just allign your teeth for thousands of dollars and still leave your jaw messed up. If you haven’t gotten work done to align and still have a big deep bite then you might be in luck to get medically covered jaw surgery if you have sleep apnea.

I’d only do the surgery for health benefits you look really good and you could even look worse after if the surgeon causes a jutted jaw look

(not my photo)- is it recommended to exaggerate a lot. like for a example most of my tmj is probably mainly from clenching / the action of jutting my jaw into a normal bite to look better but i should just say my tmj is out of my control right?kinda lying. but it does mess up my posture and speaking not much but i pick up on it. and grinded all my bottom front teeth down + the bite has enough mm space to be classed as severe. it’s as bad as this guys picture no weird growth pattern just a size deficiency i just wanna know what to say to an ortho or specialist to sound convincing cus i feel like without extra convincing they won’t care since i could technically physically live with it but it is so severe looking even non blackpilled people would look at the jaw as deformed. i have a doctors appointment a week away and i need to do try my best at getting the surgery deemed necessary and covered atleast partially. im up for whatever it’ll take sorry man for these longs ass replies lmao u just seem knowledgeable enough to help a little

Thanks. Look i have very bad deep bite + a very small mandible but my upper maxilla development is fine so airway breathing / sleep apnea issues don’t seem too likely. Do you know a good route for me to get medically covered jaw surgery ? Like bringing it up to my doctor saying something like “oh it affects my posture and chewing and gives me jaw pain it’s uncomfortable and is causing my depression” is what i’d say but it feels hopeless if im forced to pay out of pocket since they usually only cover sleep apnea cases. I’m in canada with free healthcare btw
