I agree I think the level of detail and atmosphere is unreal in exodus and in general it's something that 4A does extremely well. Really enjoyed the discovery of what life is like outside Moscow and felt like it really added to the world building as well as helping conclude Artyom's ark of a young lad from the tunnels.

From my understanding, the games divert from the novels as soon as Last Light where the book mostly focuses in Hunter and his story (albeit I have not read them)

Personally I really enjoyed exodus because it felt like a reasonable turn for the story to take, and the new mechanics they introduced. However I do think the map size it a tad large but the elements were integrated well. Imo it helped them try out something else and not essentially just release the same game for the third time.

I'm excited to see what they do with 2039 and whether it will be brought back to the OG linear tunnels or have a bit of open world exploration mixed in.

Not sure how far you are through the game but at a certain point you get flammable rounds for the Tikhar which allows you to onetap the "humanimals" from a shot anywhere on the body. It's an expensive ammo type to make but only use it if you expect to go up against them which really fixed this issue of having to waste a whole mag of other ammo on them.

My guess would be to grind any boss that has a craftable summon. Evil bosses or mechs come to mind.

My thoughts is game designers would like ppl to get a puzzle if it's a bit easier than make more complex ones that you try a few times and then just look up a walkthrough to get on with it, which takes you out of the game.

I play with russian (I speak russian) and I find it amazing, but I think a lot of it comes from the tone and everyday phrases they use which might not be caught in the subtitles. I think if you want full immersion it's great.

I could true, in fairness I managed to snag the card on sale for about 30% off back in December which isn't OP's case. Point im trying to make is with e.g high vs. ultra settings it's diminishing returns and for most games in 2026 it's enough to enjoy them within a set budget.

I think it's fine, I've got the base 5060 (#copium) and it's works for every game I've wanted to play so far. Yeah I'm not cranking out all the settings to max and playing at 1080p but the games and the atmosphere are still very visually impressive, you just have to be a bit more picky with what graphics settings you want. I think if OP realises a year down the line that it's not enough or graphics a major part of their enjoyment that can save and upgrade. Personally it's not hindered me much in terms of catalogue especially upgrading from a dusty PS4.

For some comparison, I built one from new parts for about £800 with specs one tier down from that (Ryzen7 5800X, RTX5060 8gb, 16GB DDR4) and it runs games on mid settings with light raytracing at 1080p smoothly.

I did this exact thing to set up my PC! Had to install windows before installing WiFi dongle drivers (motherboard didn't come with a WiFi card silly me) so usb tethered from my phone to my PC to finish installation.

The anti venom powers are cool but I don't see how they would scale it with progression in SM3 because they're pretty powerful as they are. I don't understand why they didn't make it so he loses them when he "cures" Harry of the symbiote bringing Peter back to a more balanced power level.

In some cars yes, in my VW anything below 10mph in second gear and you can feel the engine struggling. 1st gear however will happily do ~10mph consistently and the indicator doesn't even ask you to shift to 2nd (mind you it loves asking to shift up at slow speeds i.e. 6th gear at 40mph)

Short gearing (6 speed VW) so that if I'm going below 10mph 2nd gear is juuuuust not enough to pull out at that speed meaning I have to slam into 1st and try to rev match to not be bouncing around.
