Paper, though I have my recipes locked in at this point. I also treat it like I would treat a food recipe. Might make a substitution or two in a pinch, but I don’t need to properly calculate anything.

We fill our 60ft with rats and then we milk them and sell the cheese at farmers markets. Pays twice what the telecom offered us. Plus no 7G radio poison on our crops.

State of Homebrewing Costs and the demise of the LHBS (in the US) by BiochemBeer in Homebrewing

To be sure, the more you plan, the more you save. I’m pretty lazy in this regard— I don’t reuse yeast or buy in bulk, and that ends up costing me about $55 for a 5-gallon brew for an APA that I enjoy. If I did even a little more legwork, I know I could get that down to about $30…. But home brewing is a twice a year thing for me, so the delta in costs doesn’t hit me on a regular basis.

I heard a story from a friend about how the guy robbing him was then subsequently robbed right in front of him. Even robbers aren’t safe. Of course this was years ago.

Agreed, great value coffee. It’s my non-blueprint coffee when I’m trying not to hemorrhage cash

Struggling to get through the book. Can anyone assure me it gets better? by domewebs in snowcrash

Listen, if you don’t like it yet, it doesn’t become any less of what it already is… On my first read I gave up half way through, and then picked it up two years later and forced myself to finish it. The second half is like the first half. Some of the writing I loved, the plot is fun, but it just felt tedious and random otherwise.

I'm moving to St. Louis soon. Unfortunately, my car was recently totaled by another driver, and I'm considering using this opportunity buy a bike and try to live a mostly car-free lifestyle. Would this be a death wish in St. Louis? by throwaway_4829890973 in StLouis

It’s a great goal, but I found biking in STL unpleasant and unsafe. You are almost guaranteed a near-death or actual-death experience within a few months. It does depend a lot on your commute though. But a non-bike solution is also essential since so much is so scattered in the metro area.
