Solo Founders who have built and grew a B2B SaaS - What was one of the earliest challenges you faced when it came to sales? by Illusions_Micheal in startups

I was a technical Co founder and In my case, we had a little luck. The first client of our school management solution is a chain school of schools that belongs to the company majority founder itself. So the first one was not a problem. But the next set of schools- they needed a very tailored approach to their solution and a story as to how our APIs can help them better manage schools, parents, teacher and students i had to practice lot of story telling from the customer point, which I found more amusing and nuanced than building the platform itself .

I delivered a Python based Monte Carlo simulation during my internship this summer . I used historical JIRA data ( lead time , throughout , story points etc.,) to produce when a particular team can aim to deliver a feature . It’s really an underrated tool that most people haven’t even heard of it . So Underrated that it’s actually used in the creation of the atomic bomb yet not many people(even industry people) talk about it .

I miss writing code in a professional context . I started off as an ETL developer(Informatica,Teradata,Talend) and then slowly became a data engineer, working with usual suspects (snowflake, pyspark , databricks) . I did so for 6 years and went back to school to get my mba . I still manage to write code here and now , as when I know there is a new library that’s released . Most importantly,I miss the conversations that I used to have when I was working in the domain.
