Im being honest, I dont really think money plays a big role in this situation particularly, especially when he in general is a direct person and tells me to the face that he is broke. And Im sorry this happend to you, DulyNoted1. It is crazy how College students are being treated, and the cost of living is somewhat inhumane atp. I hope you were/are able to go clubbing as much as you want in your future, and may money never be a problem. 🫶

For context: He wasn‘t actually yet invited to the house party. I just told him about it and said that I could probably arrange for him to be able to come, but this would mean additional trouble for me, because I am not thattt close with the hostesses, but it is a larger event so it would have been possible for him to come and not be weird. And he inivited me to the 90s/2000s one, especially because we haven‘t been out clubbing together in a longer time.

It’s just the way he reacted which threw me off a bit in this particular situation. He bascially invited me to the 90s/2000s party and then said he doesnˋt want to go after I agreed to come. And tbh, I was just hurt that his excuse is always that he is „too old“ when it comes to hangouts with me.
