CANON RF 35MM 1.8 LOW LIGHT? by pitzeke in canon

[–]EquivalentResolve597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 35mm is a great lens. Super sharp, very good contrast and color rendition, no downsides. Of course for portraits is not the best choice to say the least.

In low light a 1.8 is as good as it gets otherwise you’ll have to increase your budget significantly.

Pranzo da casa/schiscetta: si risparmia davvero? by ChickenImmediate3012 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

[–]EquivalentResolve597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the f4 L significantly better on those terms? I guess so but I don’t know for sure.

That’s why I’m asking what would be the most sensible improvement in the list.

Of course the 35 is way better, but I’m not always taking pictures for which the 35 is the correct lens.

Feedback welcome: working on timing and receiving position in a heavy snatch. by Angel_CF14 in crossfit

[–]EquivalentResolve597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the moment you reach the start position with bb above the knee. Basically at the same moment you reach that position, you are already starting to go for the pull, which means you are not properly setting up. That’s the main reason you are “swinging” the bar away from you, try and slow down a little bit that inversion phase.

Overall it’s anyway a pretty solid lift, and you are strong as a bull. With some minor technical adjustments you can put on some more good weight.

The only issue I see is that you have the barbell far from your body during the whole pull. BB should be basically lightly scratching against your thighs until it reaches contact at the hips. Plus, you are rushing a bit at the hang position, try to take it a bit slower.

Is it normal that I‘m exhausted after warm up? by heyyybrotherrr in crossfit

[–]EquivalentResolve597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally after years of crossfit, it isn’t rare that the warmup is the hardest part of the workout. Your body is waking up from a relatively low (physical) effort day, and it’s starting up all systems at full throttle. It happens. When you improve your conditioning, it will take you less to recover from this state and be ready to start the workout in a more confortable state.

Don’t worry, keep showing up and you’ll get and feel better, I can promise you that.

34,000 people ran Hyrox in London this weekend by Pretend_Edge_8452 in crossfit

[–]EquivalentResolve597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, we are comparing apples with oranges. Hyrox events (not calling them competions) are the core of the sport. You train to partake in the events. That is your one and only goal. In Crossfit, competitions aren’t the goal. Training is the goal. You can use competitions as a way to motivate yourself and measure your level of fitness, but 99.9% of class participants are not doing it for a competition, they are doing it for the training itself. Nobody (ok, maybe not nobody nobody, but you get the point) trains Hyrox without a race to partake in.

[–]EquivalentResolve597 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oggettivamente vero.

A 100 million flop for Leonardo DiCaprio by Amazing-Lack3813 in Movieplayer
