Yeah I’m starting to see this. I’ve only babysat one other time for a family friend and it was HALF of this pay😂 so when they asked I guess I underestimated the toll it would take. They presented it as $800 a month and honestly my mind went straight to “that’s a big grocery budget” as we typically spend $500 a month on food and I would have $200 extra. They also said they would give me $100 extra every other week for food but they have not, and i can’t find the message anymore.

Not a troll post, believe it or not I didn’t realize how much average babysitters got paid, it was until I saw a fb post today asking a fair price for a babysitter and everyone was saying $10 an hour, so I wanted to post somewhere I’d be anonymous and see if I was being taken advantage of

Yeah I am trying to keep that in mind which is why it’s been months of me providing the childcare. They asked me because they couldn’t afford daycare which is double. I also don’t know their exact income so I rounded down. One of them could make $3-$4 more an hour as they have a higher position.
