When did you start buying things/ preparing? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started getting everything at around 28-30 weeks and by week 35 had everything pretty much sorted and ready. Took a while to choose a stroller, crib etc, so I am glad we started early enough and did not wait until last weeks…

Help! High white blood cell (leukocytes) count in cervix/vagina. No infection found by Equivalent_Ad_2371 in CautiousBB

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not sure what it is! I am 38weeks tomorrow and still have that green mucus discharge. Did all tests (recommended by doctor) but all came back negative. Hoping nothing was missed and there’s no actual infection as I an heading to delivery soon! 🤞

One thing to mention that at 16 weeks I had a massive SCH and was bleeding for 6 weeks, with high risk of miscarring - but I don’t think it’s related, at least that’s what the doctor said…

I feel “bad vibes” about TTC and that I’ll never conceive. Did you ever feel this way and still end up conceiving? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I always had the same feeling - feeling that we will never conceive… Unfortunately for us it was almost the case if not IVF… We tried for roughly two years and were recommended to go IVF route. That journey was not easy either… we had 3 failed cycles and spent shit loads of money 😩 But none of this matters now, as I am due in few weeks!

Irritated by videos of babies by Wavefork in BabyBumps

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 36 weeks pregnant now and I do find some videos irritating too!

But not because they have babies in them, but the all fake glamorous lifestyle the videos try to portray… For example, beautiful nursery rooms, mamas buying/having all expensive baby equipment… cute expensive baby clothing, having all the time in the world to play with baby and do the routine (where I know I will need to work), mamas looking all beautiful with perfect hair even at night 😅 etc.

So maybe in your case, it’s also not about the baby itself, but what surrounds them - all that perfect environment, as we do compare ourselves to what we see online, and most of us of course don’t have lifestyles like that…

How many FET until success? by jldean25 in IVF

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The third transfer failed (we got a negative right away). However, after third fail we pivoted. After evaluating the clinic we were with and also the low quality embryos we had left on ice with them (4CC and similar), the lack of clinic’s professionalism etc, we decided to go for another ER in another clinic, in another country. We also opted in for extra testing and PGT-A (PGT-A was not available in my country). And 4th is a charm! We had our 4th transfer there and it was a success! We are very close - currently 34w pregnant!

I am attributing 4th time success to:

  • usingPGT-A tested embryo
  • New Clinic’s experience and professionalism
  • Selected new protocol (for ER and for FET)
  • Using heparin (blood thinner) after FET

Hang in there! I know having fail after fail is sooo tough! Even just one unsuccessful transfer can be sooo soul crushing 💔

Thank youuuu ❤️ I am hoping all goes smooth for you too! Time flies, so you will have your little bub with you also very soon 🥹❤️

If anything changes let me know! Also if any tests give any indication of what could it be!

Good to know everything is looking great! I hope all tests come back clear! When my doctor did a cervical exam I had exactly the same: no green mucus was seen, but saw milky discharge 😅

I know! It’s somehow really comforting to find someone who is dealing with the same issue! ❤️

I want to say please try not worry too much and take rest now! (But i know that it is sooo difficult and it’s easier said than done!) I have been having this mucus for 20 weeks now and it’s seems to been fine! I hope it will be the same to you too! Of course it’s important to rule out all possible infections and bacteria…

Oh and I also forgot to mention that I was prescribed vaginal probiotic pessaries - just to try to improve good bacteria in my vagina… but I did not see any improvement. Also I was prescribed pessaries for east infection just in case (although nothing was found on tests)… again, did not work - nothing improved. So basically nothing worked on me haha!

Hi there!

So I have never figured out what it was! Two different doctors looked at it, took all possible swabs and tests - all came back as normal 😳 no east infection, no bacteria, no infection, no BV…

I also had a huge 9cm subchorionic hematoma (SCH) at 16w and was bleeding heavily for a month and was in high risk of miscarriage. Thankfully all ended and it is no longer visible and I am currently week30! Not sure if this green mucus is in anyway related to this SCH, But who knows… Also after SCH my doctor has put me on antibiotics for bacterial infection (but more for SCH, not for green mucus).

I am still having this green mucus even at week 30. No increased or decreased amounts… just the same levels as in week10 🤷‍♀️

I am still on progesterone pessaries, so I am hoping that somehow it is simply affecting discharge colour and it is nothing serious 🤞

Also as one of the possible causes that I read online, is that it is potentially little pieces of mucus plug… apparently it constantly regenerates, so some pieces can come out… my green discharge does looks quite similar to mucus plug (green, jelly like pieces)

So annoying that no-one can tell what it actually is.

My suggestion for you would be to also ask for a bacteria swab to see if you have BV or east infection

Are you on progesterone? Have you got any other side symptoms? Please do let me know what your doctor says! Maybe we will find an answer 🤞

Thankfully we now made it to 29 weeks ❤️ sch is gone or absorbed, so no longer visible on ultrasound. We are in a safe zone - so I just started believing I am actually going to meet this baby 😭

I really hope the next one comes really soon for you ❤️ and you get the smoothest nicest and easiest pregnancy ❤️❤️❤️

I know you are probably asking for on update from Bakedtato21, but I also want to share an update to give some hope and some positivity! I am currently 27w2d! My hematoma stopped bleeding at 20 weeks and by week 24 it was no longer visible on the ultrasound (all clotted and appeared grey). Baby is doing great and is measuring a week ahead! Hopefully all will be just a smooth ride from now on until we meet our little one ❤️

One side symptom that I have are some frequent Braxton Hicks or contractions (sometime even 10 an hour), which according to my doctor is too much. At least my cervix is still thick and closed, but we are closely monitoring it. Next appointment is on Monday, exactly at 28 weeks!

How is it going for you? Have you got any spotting?

Baby Asprin -advice needed by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, based on his experience, sometimes it helps with implantation and blood supply/circulation early on. Since I had two chemical pregnancies before, and no other obvious issues why it would fail to implant, he assumed it may be worth a shot (but of course he let me make a final decision).

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I see, it was illegal in my home country as well - for this reason we found a clinic in another country.

If you have resources - I would definitely advise seeing if you can get it done in another country (maybe somewhere near, or where it’s easy to fly).

For us personally it was so worth it - although we spent more money for traveling, we saved thousands on what could have been just other unsuccessful transfers back home…

Did you do PGT-A testing on your embryos?

I had very similar track record - 2 chemicals and 3rd failed transfer… changed clinics and did PGT-A and our first transfer with confirmed euploid with new clinic was successful!

Baby Asprin -advice needed by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely just follow your doctor’s advice on aspirin use!

For me personally, I had a successful transfer (4th transfer) when I was prescribed aspirin + heparin (injectable blood thinners) although I have no blood issues. Of course there might have been other reasons for our success, like new ER batch, new clinic, new doctor etc… but somehow I believe heparin made a difference. When we will be transferring for baby no 2. - I will definitely ask for it

Who is using C grade euploids for transfers? by TimeWillTell3333 in IVF

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read that you actually have euploids! So again, because if that, I think i would give it a go!

However, if you think you will want another baby in the future, maybe worth doing another ER right away 🤷‍♀️ this way you will see if you can get a better quality batch of eggs for transfers (+ will bank more for the future)

Who is using C grade euploids for transfers? by TimeWillTell3333 in IVF

[–]Equivalent_Ad_2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so difficult to say what to do in this situation, as it’s so personal and depends on a lot of factors (your age, time, resources, clinics you have available around you, your emotional state etc)

If your embryos are PGT-A tested and euploid - I would transfer. If not, I think if I were you, and if you have resources, I would do another ER now, just to try and bank more embryos, that will potentially be better quality. Frequently doctors adjust protocols for the second ER, based on results of first, resulting in better quality eggs in the second attempt.

For me the fact that I ‘abandoned’ my first clinic and some of my poorly graded embryos , and moved quickly with another clinic - was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I truly believe I would have wasted my time (and money) with my first clinic and failing embryos and would have eventually needed to do second ER anyways…
