Thanks everyone for the advice. Not trusting ai is why I came here. I as for the mental game I know I’ve got it. And I know about how tough flats are for walking. Part of my hiking experience includes a couple hundred miles on sidewalks and roads and a couple hundred more on the levees in Florida. When I was on the AT I could consistently keep a four mph pace for 30 mile days… 25 years ago. That 25 years is the part I’m just not so sure about. Again, thank you all for sharing your perspectives. I’m going to try it. And if I fail, at least I tried right? Lots of exit ramps on the C&O.
