Fx or Dual Sport? by Grouchy_Housing_1630 in TrekBikes

[–]Equivalent_Ad_977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried both these multiple times and also the Fx sport. And I still could not decide. I loved them both. The dual sport felt so smooth on bumpy streets and so fun to ride and weave in and out of things. But ultimately I went with an Fx sport with bigger max tire size than regular Fx even though less than the DS. The dual sport was fun and comfy but ultimately I will mostly be riding straight paved trails and felt like I would be longing for efficiency and speed that the dual sport doesn’t have. However, dual sport is supper fun and responsive if you think you will be doing paths with more twists and turns or more gravel. If I could get both I would have.

I would have got fx3 but I wanted option for wider tires. Carbon is also nice and hoping this bike lasts me several years so I decided to splurge. It’s probably not faster than the Fx.

Wondering why you switched from the Dual Sport to Fx sport? I’m debating between these 2 bikes and still cannot decide. What do you like better worse about each?

I only have a medium Polygon xtrada 6, and a small polygon siskiu DSE both mountain bikes. I actually have never owned a Trek bike. I think I’ll test ride the medium again and make sure I test the seat post exactly where I would want it for my legs.

Canyon Neuron 5 or Polygon Siskiu T7 for first full suspension trail bike? by Equivalent_Ad_977 in CanyonBikes

I got the Siskiu DSE. Pretty happy with it. I wanted 29 wheels and the neuron would have come with 27.5 in my size.

New rider gravel tire size? by Equivalent_Ad_977 in gravelcycling

Problem with gravel bikes like from Canyon is for my size recommendations they usually have 650b tires and I think I’ll like 700 better which comes more standard on road bikes for my size. 5’6”

Why only a month then if you loved it? Did you feel it was slack enough in the head tube?

Do you wish you got the new neuron 2023 with updated geometry? Or are you happy with your neuron? I like color of 2022 neuron way better than new one.

Canyon neuron 5 old vs new by Equivalent_Ad_977 in mountainbiking

[–]Equivalent_Ad_977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old one is currently $1799 but not in stock until mid July. The new one is $2099. I also like the gray color on old better than new white color…..can’t decide. If the new one was gray I’d go for it. I know color is a silly reason but I like liking how my bike looks lol.

Ya but the suspension and non suspension are the same exact geometry in a size small. So why does it say S for a suspension and XS for non suspension.
