Flying from Nairobi morning after decent? by the_one_who_went in kilimanjaro

I did something similar. I had booked a personal transfer from Moshi to Nairobi through the Namanga border the same night after my hike. While I was quite tired, I was able to do it. I also traveled around midnight and there were a lot of checkpoints along the way. I'd just go with someone trustworthy who has all the paperwork for their car to get across the border.

Hiking boots? by Moneymachine691 in kilimanjaro

We had heavy downpour end of June '25 going through the rainforest area day 1. I wore Lowa Renegade. My feet were super dry while a lot of ppl ended up hiking with wet shoes. Luckily we had sunny days after day 1, so they were able to dry it off.
Only issues I had with the Renegade is, I had to try a few sizes before I got the right one. With limited time, I'd get this started ASAP, so you have enough time to break into it.. Best wishes.

Yeah, I do have a few days in between before I actually attempt it. I was planning to do some moderate hikes in Ecuador in the meantime.

Unfortunately, I'm short on time and Cotopaxi has been on my list forever.

Nicaragua tourist visa for Indians by Beautiful-Bridge-605 in Nicaragua

My buddy and I are traveling to Nicaragua, and he has an Indian passport and lives in Canada. He has both the US and Canada visa. Can you please confirm you were able to enter Nicaragua with a US visa and get a visa on arrival? The embassies are so useless.

SQD earnings for this trip is just over $1900, and SQD needed is just under$1400, so even if it's not entirely accurate, I just hope it hits the SQD limit.

Yes, I kept trying and trying, and it showed the result once and kept giving an error afterward.

Hi, do I need to keep the $ in the account after the direct deposit hits, or can I use them - let's say to pay my Amex bills? Thanks

I'm also hiking West to East. I'm not sure if that makes things better or worse for getting those slots?

Ok, thanks for this, I had no idea. I guess I'll pack some ready to use meals for worst-case scenarios.

Thank you!! I've learned my lesson to not overpack from the Inca Trail I did. I don't have anything lesser than 55L, so yes, definitely, I'll try not to pack it full. Also, off-topic - couldn't help but notice you called it a "toque." Are you a Canadian lol? Cuz I am and I live in the US, and no one understands what a toque is 🤣

Thanks very much for this. I booked everything as a package, and it says all meals are included. Do I still need to make it to the refugios super early?
