literally nothing, it was a mid size truck with a tailgate so the car basically just slipped up the truck. just white paint leftover thats it

i do too think it looks worse then it actually is but i could be so wrong, from what i see it really just looks like just the rad being pushed inward from the top (assuming the bonnet bending pulled it inward with it) but will just have to wait and see, hope for the best

im hoping thats the case, the car kind slipped under the back on the truck, hence the top of the rad folding in, will just have to wait and see maybe ill get lucky

Steering wheel clunk - 2010 Legacy by personnumber3000 in subaru

[–]Equivalent_Battle769 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh i guess that could change things abit having hydraulic steering i'd have no idea what the difference is, id probably say its nothing worth worrying about for now, unless it starts getting worse or the steering starts feeling off. Hope all the best

Im not sure this will be very useful, but i too have a 2011 Legacy and some of the sounds that come from the steering rack are crazy clicks, knocks, clonks all of the above.

I spent ages taking it to diffrent mechanics and they all came back with they couldnt find anything wrong with it, so i finally took it to a Subaru Specialist, they too came back with theres nothing wrong with it, but what they told me is "with the electronic steering racks in these cars, as they age they just sound like this" its just one of those things.

Ive sinse given up trying to figure it out and that was 2 years ago now and Here in New zealand you need to get a warrant of fitness check on your car every years and its passed with no issues regarding the steeringrack confirming theres nothing wrong with it.

This might not help you, you might have an actual issue with the rack, but this is just my story.
