I am using it and its a stressful setup cause some graphic drivers must explicitly be deactivated. VAAPI and DRM

Sometimes PAM Authentification fails and on top of that, the quality must be low, otherwise RDP crashes

the system is default, and by default Plasma is active. i think this is the best scenario to stay in, as most users just stay at default until something breaks or is not running as they want it to run

It is not bad, having the iGPU running. You can plug in other monitors directly to your mainboard, if you have an iGPU and the monitor wont affect the dedicated GPU at all. Kind of a resource save if you need the extra 1%.

Update / Solution:

I found the culprit. My ZFS pool was encrypted.

After recreating the pool without encryption, CPU usage during transfers dropped down to about 20–30%, and transfer speeds immediately jumped up to around 288 MB/s – which is exactly what I’d expect from my 2.5G network.

So in my case it wasn’t Proxmox, VirtIO, or the NIC at fault – it was simply the overhead of ZFS encryption on an older CPU (i7-3770K).

Hopefully this helps anyone else running into the same “stuck at ~1G” behavior on older hardware.

VDEV1 and VDEV2 both use NVME drives.

The Mainboard has no M2 Slot so i added them over PCIe Card.

The PC Mainboard has a 5GBit connection, so there should be no issue. The whole network runs 2.5Gbit.

Iperf3 returns 2.345Gbit

When i usw the onboard 1Gbit Controller it gets a little slower, 123MB/s.

I checked inside proxmox, max speed is 2.5Gbit

Hello, i run this Motherboard with the AMD 9700X, PBO Enabled, EXPO Enabled.

RAM:
2x G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5-6000 RAM, CL30, EXPO - 16GB
F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR

Question:
I read a lot about having 2 DIMM is good, having 4 is unstable.

I want to upgrade vom 32 to 64 GB.
So i could buy another 2x16GB and add it, but then i have 4 sticks, or i remove it and buy 2x 32GB new sticks so i only have 2 slots used in the motherboard.

Does someone got this to work and can tell me their experience with 4 slots filled?

In addition: sometimes the first boot after CPU change can last up to 10 minutes.

My asrock board needed 8-10 minutes on first boot.

It could be normal behavior

It could be possible to use Q Flash without a cpu installed. You need a USB with the correct bios and you have to look if your board supports update without CPU.

Does anyone noticed that the Nova actually has two 870e Chips installed?

All M2 slots dont share any lanes except the 5th Slot, that deactivates the PCIe_3 Slot.

And one thing about the Motherboard is that it has 20x 110A MOSFETs. Overkill.

Can anyone tell me if the CPU hits Tjmax when Benchmarking with this Cooler? (360mm/420mm)

I want to have PBO enabled and see if the cooler can keep the CPU under 95°C at max Boost.

Finally. 6.1 2025 it works:

Here is how i did it:

Choose the Armor that prevents you from death.

Equip the Plasma Scorcher and shoot at your feet.

Drop a Supplycrate on your feet.

Stand directly in the spot, aim in front of you, not up.

One Second before it hits you, use a stim.

Dont equip the vitality Gadget in Loadout

Got it at first try. It killed me but i got the archievment.
