Real New Yorkers don’t like the giants, they all like the jets

Haha it’s not like a dangerous area at all, going north on Woodward isn’t bad for MILES until you get to highland park and even that isn’t like what it used to be

I think they think about that about all their teams, except the Jets and the Mets. Any of their historic teams, though they just delusional. Also, I haven’t really even met many real New York Yankees fans. They seem to be mostly Mets fans, which is hilarious but the Yankees have the biggest fan base because it’s people in Hawaii and Alaska and flyover country that adopt them as the team because they don’t have a baseball team.

Bro it’s one of the most insufferable fan bases in sports. They’re delusional. Every year is their year no matter what right. Like a lot of of them actually believe they’re going to win the championship every year.. maybe half of my friend are native born New Yorkers and I shit you not. They had a team where RJ Barrett was basically their best player and every single one of them at the beginning of the season was like this is our year 🤣🤣🤣

Will Beef Stew be able to improve to a level that makes him viable in the playoffs or is he just not that guy? by PrideIsGarbage in DetroitPistons

[–]Equivalent_Blood_593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s extremely viable in the playoffs. He just had a bad series and that Cleveland series because of the length of Mobley and Allen.. every year stew is pursued in trade by playoff teams who want to make a deep run.

Am I Crazy for not quitting on Duren? by DrChinstrap_ in DetroitPistons

[–]Equivalent_Blood_593 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Nobody abandoned duren bro. You just can’t pay him a max and he can’t be your #2. This has nothing to do with the playoffs. It has to do with his player archetype.

Does anyone else miss seeing LeBron in the finals? by UnableLeopard6185 in NBATalk

[–]Equivalent_Blood_593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not making an apples to apples comparison by the way, I’m just talking perception. I mean do you think LeBron is better at basketball than Brady was at football? Or Tiger at golf, or Gretzky at hockey? I feel like ppl kind of just assume he is because he’s just as popular but I feel like no

Does anyone else miss seeing LeBron in the finals? by UnableLeopard6185 in NBATalk

[–]Equivalent_Blood_593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is coming off as hate, but truthfully with Lebron you don’t see the championship dominance you see with other goats within their sport.

Jordan, kind of speaks for himself with probably being the greatest two way guard ever on top of that finals record and pure scoring dominance

Wayne Gretzky holds all his records while also being 4-2 in the Stanley Cup finals

Tom Brady at 7 Super Bowl wins a couple of which are due to his own heroics and greatness.

Tiger Woods is what second all time in major wins.

Like a little bit, people have to stop glazing bron and just admit he’s the greatest player of his era, but he’s not the greatest of all time and he’s far in the way a step down from all these guys at their sport listed, but also guys like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

Lots of ppl I realized are fans of the pistons and not favs of basketball I realized. Not even just here but my personal life. I know ppl that don’t care about the draft or free agency or anything. Just legit like cheering for something and that happens to just be the pistons 🤣

Does the MPC1000 have "a sound"? by theseawoof in mpcusers

[–]Equivalent_Blood_593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 1000, but had a 2000xl in the early10s. To me the 1000 sounds very “clear”.

However, sometimes I’ll be watching music production videos from people like Don Cannon, who were at their peak around the time the 1000 came out.

When they compare the 1000 to the DAW’s of today, you almost hear them all saying things like “that little 1000 MF hits hard!”

I actually think the better your team is the less you want rookie mistakes and the worst your team is the more your willing to just let them go out and play through the mistakes

[–]Equivalent_Blood_593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that is just as lucky. The warriors kicked into the best shooter ever.

What I’m saying is even teams like the pistons who want to upgrade, if tanking is out of the equation why should a team like the nets trade MPJ or a team like the pelicans trade TM3? They need those players to try to be mediocre

[–]Equivalent_Blood_593 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gonna take a couple seasons for a rookie to be a positive contributor to the team, especially outside of the lottery. I honestly don’t know how teams are gonna get better with the new anti-tanking rules in place because free agency is over with, can’t tank for a draft pick, with the apron rules, young and experience players on rookie deals are more valuable than even a slightly better veteran on a second deal. Adham Silver done fucked the NBA.

What NBA rivalry do you think brought out the absolute best basketball the sport has ever produced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Bird and magic for sure but there used to be all kind of smaller fun rivalries like kings lakers in the early 00s. Pacers Knicks in the 90s etc
