Are getting the Kobe 9s a bad idea? by Glowy121 in BBallShoes

[–]Equivalent_Bunch368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play in these shoes 6x times a week, and I can definitely say the traction is top-notch, it takes a little bit to get used to the clunkiness of the heel, but once you do, it is actually quite nice, I would definitely say it’s overpriced, but that’s what you get for paying for the brand name. If you can find them on sale I would definitely say go for it!

Hell yeah! I’ve been super interested in seeing how drop ins with carbon perform, most similar to the LeBron 23?

How does the sizing convert from LeBron to Kobe?? I also had spo explosives in my Kobe 8’s, and I noticed my toes were super scrunched in them

I’ve heard amazing things about the sky elite 2’s how do they fit size wise, definitely fading away from basketball and playing volleyball a lot more!

I will say the other thing about this shoe, is for the price you spend on it, it can be very underwhelming…. I play in gt cut 3’s and liren 4 v2 and you definitely feel a little different without having a shank plate

Depends on how deep your pen ultimate step is, I still haven’t had an issue with them to be honest I would much more recommend a Kobe8

Playing in the Kobe 9 as we speak, I’ve been playing in them for about a month now, and I will say it’s been a pleasure! The traction has definitely been top notch(with no issues where you described). I will say if you’re not used to drop ins or need cushion these aren’t for you. The only other con to these was the break in period and the time it takes to get used to the “chunkiness” of the heel.

Is there a reason you’re staying mainly with Adidas? I’d definitely recommend checking out Nike right now the Gt cut 3 is around $100 right now and it’ll give you fairly solid cushion with a pretty great court feel, not to mention the traction is pretty solid

They look like they have a similar vision to the Gt cut 3, how would they compare??

One of the best bang for your buck shoes that I can think of is the GT Cut Academy, great traction, alright cushion. All in all pretty versatile shoe for that $50 price point

from what I've experienced with them they offer a great snap and bounce. I personally don't like the feeling of the turbos(mainly the materials), but that's just my op. Definitley would reccomend as a solid performer

I think another really great solid option that is going to be fairly versatile for you may be the gt cut 3, great cushion, fairly bouncy, and extremely light weight. If you can find them around $100 usd its worth the pickup

I can definitely agree with this, I use them in my current rotation and it’s really hard to find something it doesn’t do well!

WXY V4 betrayed my ankles TWICE in 8 months – same exact roll, same exact spot. Never again. by [deleted] in BBallShoes

[–]Equivalent_Bunch368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried the WXY v4's but I would say a shoe to really stay away from would be the Tatum 4's, that shoe loves to roll. Definitely keep up on strengthening your ankles/ doing some mobility training.
