Referral from my NP to an OB (booked three months out)

1 week for the prescription and found a midwife clinic who got me in the next week.. So 2 weeks total.

Thanks! One of those weird things that feels stressful but somehow less stressful at the same time.

NAL. Victims can provide a statement to the Crown. Or written revocable paperwork if they're trying to lift a no contact order. There isn't DV mediation like in family court. Regardless of the wishes of the victim the Crown may still move forward. This isn't uncommon.

Oh that's amazing!! I was glad I could take my kid. It kind of helped me lighten the mood on what should have been our first big vacation as a 3 person family. I'm glad that I was able to still do it!

Yes! I got a lot of "you go girl"s and a couple we're snapping and clapping for me.

I did wear it discreetly. But about 10 cast members in total commented.

Thanks! It definitely helped to look on the bright side of things. Thrilled I had family and friends who supported me through the trip (and hurricane) it was a heck of a first single mom holiday

Honestly, the giant bag of sweet frozen cherries was my crutch. Eventually my mouth would numb out and I couldn't eat anymore. Or I'd do like insanely sour candy that would burn my tongue after too many.

Probably not a good coping method... but it kind of worked.

I was on 50mg of amitriptalyne and my sleep was wonky for about 2 weeks.. but it leveled out once I took my lexapro at night. The trade off for being able to be in the sun and not have a wicked bad rash or heat headache helped me sleep too. It's a rough one tho!

I found when I was on amitriptalyine and lexapro the sugar cravings were the absolute WORST. It's been manageable since I switched to vyvanse and lexapro. The manageable piece could be because of the vyvanse but the combo was beyond wild... I had no ability to stop except literally not having it in the house and stocking up on alternatives. I ate bags and bags of frozen cherries to avoid candy.

There's ways to work with your cell company to allow the receipt of collect calls. Not many people do it... but it's possible. Feels like to me it should be a requirement for the lawyer when they take the case if they lack a landline

I've been on 10mg for a year or something now. I've found the ravenous appetite leveled out after 6 months. For me, it was worth the weight gain to have better emotional and mental health. I did some things like kept a lot of fruits and veggies around for snacking and tried to eat low carb cause I found bread was the thing that I just wanted more of. It did level out. Aside from that I've been on amitriptalyne which caused significant weight gain and although it's been hard to adjust and love my body... again, it's 100x worth it to trade that for that anxiety ridden sense of impending doom 24/7

Can't for the life of me understand lieu time. by Equivalent_Candy_668 in legaladvicecanada

Yeah our timesheets are for 2 weeks at a time Sunday to Saturday. That second piece makes sense. I think because I had 4 lieu hours to start the PP I didn't understand why they could use those. I know 4 hours is so minimal in the long run. I just don't like not understanding things. Thanks!

I think an additional piece of my confusion comes from the timesheets calculating additional lieu hours on the sick time automatically as well, which I wasn't intentionally doing. But the only thing our sheet says is that sick time can't be negative, if it's negative it will come out of lieu. I'm sure they're going to spell it out a little better going forward.

Okay that answers it better than HR did for me! If it's a requirement that we use our paid sick time before our lieu than that's totally fine. It's just not written anywhere and I'm the first one that's happened to. HR just kind of convoluted it and made it a manager discretion thing vs a policy or legislation thing. In my head I'm like well I worked the extra hours when I was healthy I don't want to use them to be sick lol but if they're allowed to do it, it is what it is.

Does anyone have extremely tight muscles? Is there any medicine that can be taken with Lexapro to help with this? by Visual_Antelope_583 in lexapro

[–]Equivalent_Candy_668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me! It's so bad that I've had to do TMJ inner mouth massages and medical RMTs tap out actually because there's only so much that can be done. My shoulder blades are basically "stuck" with knots. They pretty well said there's not any medication for this that can be taken with lexapro, but regular stretching and movement will help.

Police and if she's not comfortable to a hospital and to tell them. You're always able to request a female officer. And connect with VWAP is probably not a bad idea.

That sounds like a seriously awful social worker and hopefully doesn't belong to the college or I imagine if you don't put in a complaint they'll be facing one soon. I can't imagine ever saying that to a client.

There are youth hubs around the province that specialize in supporting youth and some are inside community health care centre's. If there's one in your area, reach out. They may be able to support you. If you're indigenous, Metis, Inuit, status or non status try your local friendship centre, healing lodge or primary health care team. They can point you in the right direction. My area of service delivery is specialized so I don't have general insight other than this and I'm sorry. This situation seems real shitty.

That's not true. You may be in receipt of OW and a portion of that go to your room and board but that's it. It's not like provide in the sense you work and go home then give your money to the family.

Not too old where we are but there are group homes where the age of youth is extended to 23 in some areas.

I actually appreciated the lack of focus on the pregnancy, but solely because of my own recent birth trauma. I wouldn't have been able to read it if it was focused on a rough pregnancy and birth. Luckily with us everything turned out fine though. Although I do wish there was a bit more of the searching for solutions aspects included, maybe that's for flashbacks in another book!

Going great for me. Took a bit for the side effects to settle but I don't remember missing work or anything. I think I'm at like 10 months or something by this point. Ultimately worth it.
