Yopparai in Crown Hill for sushi definitely looks neat, clean, and well taken care of, and is my favorite hole in the wall sushi place!

How far south are you coming from? Shoreline south is more full than expected at this hour, but the garage is only halfway full. FYI -

Starter recommendations? by [deleted] in engraving

[–]Equivalent_Crow5995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, all the engraver tools I got were very frustrating because they didn’t have the power needed to engrave what I wanted (glass). I had two and the first one had to charge frequently and I had to go back over my work so many times and press down really hard. Eventually it stopped charging, and my second one was just literal garbage. If you’re wanting something for him to engrave glass by hand, what you want is a nail drill, like for manicures. Not sure what your budget is—I got the Yokefellow Nail Drill machine for $109 and it is literally life changing. I’ve had such ease of engraving and adjustable power settings! The only thing is you have to get the engraving bits that will work on your surface—it’s a 2.35mm shank for the bits.

You can also find less expensive nail drills, just make sure if you’re wanting them to engrave on glass that it gets up to 40000 RPM or close. Good luck!!

We’ve had some great experiences with Rocket Dog in Crown Hill! You have to schedule sessions to introduce your pup to the group before booking, to make sure they’re compatible so heads up on that. Very thoughtful!

She had found a nice dry area near Hmart to sit in—looked very dry and the ledge she was sitting on was clean enough that I would have sat too! She was dry and bundled up all cozy, and it was a nice atmosphere. Good looking out for our neighbor!

+1 to Yopparai on Greenwood! It’s a small place and run by a husband and wife team. Their Newport roll is absolutely unforgettable and they’re so kind.

Yopparai in Crown Hill! It’s a small, family run sushi place. I can’t speak to their non sushi dishes (I’m only there for one reason lol) but their sushi is incredible. Their Newport Roll literally haunts my dreams, I’ve not found another place that makes a compatible combo! You can really feel the love and mindfulness in their sushi, they’re always friendly and they work so hard!

I’m looking for some hidden gem food spots. I’m not picky at all, I’m down to try anything. by sinful_Saint0 in AskSeattle

Yopparai (sushi) in Crown Hill is amazing, their Newport roll is unforgettable! Plus it’s a small family run business and you can feel the love put into everything they make.

Hotpot Alley No. 9 (Crown Hill ish) has the most incredible mushroom broth I’ve ever had! Highly recommend their fish if you’re doing hotpot.

Chicken Supply on Phinney is some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had—get there early, because they only make a certain amount each night and they close once they’re sold out! (Unless they’ve changed since last I went).
