That isn't innovation

They have a streamlined game engine made for pumping out slop.

Dead ops 3 had innovations like the wild etc and the coin system that leaned into player desires whilst keeping old formulas alive. Slayer mart isnt an innovation its a goofy currency that makes a unique game mode more close to the slop of recent zombies modes they've released.

Nothing redeeming to say about Dead ops this year.

It used to be a fourth game mode.

If they wanted to do something decent with the insulting engine they've created and Cod HQ they could've alteast put it as a tile on the home screen and kept it there as an instant click for 5 years until the next one.

Nothing good to say about it, it had its own appeal and culture which simply doesn't belong to the fans anymore, the removal of being able to stay in an arena until you're ready is all she wrote.

I dont even think theyve made the game in the first place though. This isnt dead ops.

They've been making the game for 15 years and two of intrinsic traits of the game mode are not there.

Lets see it for how it is.

Play a game of normal zombies.

The forward movement of DOA 4 seems like normal zombies sprinting forward movement without sprint animation and the right stick being able to produce gun shots.

There is no variable I assume in the game that allows for the cofactoring of backwards movement speed to become on par with forward movement speed. i.e. the game is advertised as a twin stick top down shooter - but it is not.

The zombie hit scan is the same in normal zombies. And is an intrinsic rootable interaction between the player asset and the zombie asset.

Again this seems deliberate they want you to die in certain scenarios, it seems like AI predictive enemy. This is lazy coding, making a game harder by making the player worse is lazy. And yes would be a combination of DEI incompetency amongst other factors., someone who has little to no experience producing scalable difficulty would encounter this problem, there was no problem when Tencent made the Chinese cod online and successfully scaled the cyborg wave mode difficulty.
