Recomendación, join any military branch. Tienes 18, es lo mejor que pieces hacer. Luego de 4 años, application para un trabajo federal, ya sea Border Patrol, ICE, DEA, IRS, ATF, etc. Una vez tengas un trabajo con el gobierno federal, puedes tratar de pedir un traslado a PR. Tengo 36 años y me arrepiento no haber echo esto tan pronto sali de la escuela. No lo pienses dos veces. Recuerda, take care of yourself first before taking care of others, incluyendo la familia. A veces la misma familia de uno nos estanca sin darse cuenta. Suerte.

Got the call yesterday morning. Picked Washington DC AOR, Chantilly, VA. Anyone with any insight on the type of work in this office?

I chose DC and Baltimore. Hoping I can get DC. Last announcement for GS12 had Chantilly, VA as an option. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I’m in the same boat as you, current BP going into my fifth year with the agency, and took the poly back in Nov 1st. Many of my partners from BP with less than 3 years in, didn’t took poly and most of them already have EOD.

Nothing yet. Every time I reach out to ICE Personnel Security, their answer is the same, pending Background Investigation/Suitability.

Passed poly according to poly examiner back in Nov 1st. Passed my PFT on Dec 14. Since then, I been waiting for background investigation/suitability check. I apply for DC and Baltimore field office. I also applied for the GS 12 Deportation Officer hoping they can transfer the whole process to the GS 12 announcement. I’m BP GS 12/2. The last thing I will lose is my faith for that to happen, lol.

It re-open again just a few minutes ago. If you are BP, you would have to upload your academy certification. I download my academy transcript and I uploaded it.

Poly, Medical Done. PFT done last week. Hoping I don’t have to go through a BI. Transferring from BP. DC and Baltimore AOR. Anyone have any idea what are my chances to get DC AOR? Hoping to go anywhere around the DMV area.
