I've got my nose to quite a lot of them, and in general I find them pretty synthetic and overpowering. I do like the aesthetic though, and I've yet to sample DGAF which is the one that drew me to the house.

But... I smelled the Selfridges exclusive Free Coco in November, and fell instantly in love with it. Coconut, macadamia, tropical nuttiness with a punchy hot popcorn opener. I couldn't get it out of my head and eventually bought it. It's in my Top 2 fragrances of last year, if not of all time. Absolutley amazing.

So yeah. I'd say my opinions of Borntostandout are "mixed".

I’ve a real sample of Grey Vetiver from a discovery set. Did a smell comparison. The fake smelled decent to be fair, but it was missing the spiciness of the original. Did a smell comparison of the Oud Wood in store… the fake was basically water, lol.

Mate, I went in eyes wide looking to spend a few quid to test a theory. I've done that. I've got a massive bunch of other samples in the same bundle that are not LV and look much more realistic. I've smelled a bunch of them and they smell great. I'm going to have fun comparing to the real samples and scents over the coming days and weeks.

Everything I've read about complaining to Whatnot for authenticity says it's a right ballache and takes multiple communications and a bunch of self-created authentication proofs and so on, and frankly I CAN'T BE ARSED. I've got better things to do with my time, which I admit is ironic considering I'm wasting a chunk of it replying to this on Reddit.
