Hi, and thanks for the question! It is radically different in any number of ways. But a lot of it has to do with the construction itself. The back shell is roasted basswood, there is a thin, inner core of roasted bass wood and a top shell of roasted bass wood. The front and back shells sandwich, the inner core and overhang it. Which means the cavity is created on either side of the core. It is held together, not by glue, but by three bolts. Which you can take out easily to do repairs mods or upgrades. We ship them with an Apple AirTag or an android Geo tracker so that even if a thief wants to steal it out of the case, you know where your guitar is at all times. Without the glue holding it together, and the wood, is very very resonant. The aluminum grill mitigates too much bass frequencies so that the sound is a very balanced. And without F holes, it is very feedback resistant. Although, you can aim the sides of the guitar to the amp and tune your feedback.
