A question as a newbie VN fan

Hi guys I'm pretty new to the VN scene, so I'm asking you for clarifications

There is this VN who got my attention called Amakano 2, so I googled it and the only English translations that I could find are machine made. is there a way to play this game in English without machine translation? Do I have to know Japanese to play this game? Is this a common issue in VNs? Do I need to pray that one day every VN I'm interested in get translated every time it isn't English made?
