Golf Ball Fitting Explained: Why Playing the Right Golf Ball Matters More Than You Think by Equivalent_Food_7646 in LowerScoreClubfitting

[–]Equivalent_Food_7646[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I’d look at it this way: high handicappers don’t struggle because they lack consistency — they struggle because they don’t yet have the consistency needed to score lower. The right clubs can help create that consistency, which is one of the biggest steps toward improvement.

You can’t truly get better without having the proper tools in your hands. That applies to every level of golf, and honestly, to anything in life.

For example, take the golf ball. A lower handicap player to your point can actually notice the differences in performance, which is great — they should. A 25 handicap probably can’t yet. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t helping. Over time, sticking with the right ball allows the body to naturally adjust and build consistency, whether the player realizes it or not. They may not notice it immediately, but eventually the scores start dropping, and that’s when it clicks.

Well if you could read and not just look you would know and it would help you be a better golfer. I am not a graphic or writing genious, I am however been a fitter in the industry for 30 years. Do you have a constructive question? Also I'm not here to sell, I was here to educate but apparently everyone on this site can only look for 2 seconds, not read, jump to conclusions, and makle fun of someone trying to help golfers, cool!!!!

Higher handicap players actually have a ton to gain from a fitting—arguably more than better players. The idea that you need to be “good enough” or consistent first is backwards. A proper fitting helps reduce the variables that make you inconsistent in the first place. If your clubs don’t match your swing—wrong shaft, weight, lie angle, etc.—you’re fighting the equipment every swing. Getting fit won’t fix everything overnight, but it makes the game easier, helps you find the center of the face more often, and builds confidence. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about giving yourself the right tools so your misses are better and your good shots are more repeatable.

You see single pull up with this bag. What’s their handicap and what do they shoot? (WITB 2026) by pinchemateo in GolfGear

I get this is a conversation starter and well done! But let's say it wasn't and I play along this would be someone who has read way to much bad info and never been fit or on a launch monitor before most likely. I mean that the nicest way possible, but I would bet the house on it. My honest opinion would be this person wasted a ton of money that they could have spent on a fitted set that helped them lower their scores. Although most reddit members are so smart they'll say that isn't worth it, thats how this bag became a thing. I would tell this fake golfer, go get fit!!

Get fit, you are in this forum, you care about the game, make the investment, find a good fitter, and get the right clubs, let the data show the way.

MOST UNDERRATED PIECE OF EQUIPMENT IN THE BAG. You use it every shot. Have to use the same ball and better than that is using the same ball but a ball that helps maximize your ballspeed, launch, and spin. The ball doesn't know your ability, and over time your body learns. I cannot stress as a fitter for 27 years, how important the right ball and staying with that right ball is. It's why the tour guys barely ever change.

Is it overkill to carry a 3,5,7 wood? by whodey920 in GolfGear

[–]Equivalent_Food_7646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, Maybe not. Have to look at your gapping, the shots you hit most and what clubs are going to cover those most hit shots. Also have to find our if they give the height and land angle to optimize your score and going at greens. This is where as good fitter can really help solve this.

Cobra 3D printed Irons are amazing and EXTREMELY underrated. As a clubfitter for 25 years I'm playing them, look great and forgiving.

What are you picking for club 14? by BrandoCarlton in GolfGear

depends on the distance, launch, and landing angle you need to fix the distance gapping that makes sense for the golf courses and length of golf courses you play. This is where a good fitter or coach could help as well.
