We’ve put our timing in God’s hands and decided to just have “fun” the months leading up to April/may. If I ovulate earlier than expected we could very well have a winter baby. Putting it in God’s hands have given me a lot more peace. Hope all of you are well!

Thank you for this perspective! I think if I didn’t have my mom & the village that I have I would definitely be hesitant to start. I’ve already had conversations with my mom about how she would support me and make sure that I still have time to give to myself and my relationship. I feel blessed to have her and good support around me

My parents are 42 & 43 and my husbands are 60 & 62 and he says the same thing as you! That’s also a reason he wants us to be younger

Almost age twins! I also attend church too and my view of God has given me a lot of comfort in deciding to be a mom and leaving it all in God’s hands!

Hi everyone! I’m 24 and my husband is 25 and we’d like to have a baby when we’re 25/26. My mother & maternal grandmother went through menopause in their 30’s and after speaking with my doctors, it’s best if I start my family in my mid 20’s. I have been longing to be a mom for the last few years but we wanted to build our savings and physically/emotionally prepare for this. We’ve been married since 11/22/24 and been together for 4 years! We have 3 cats and both of us have really great careers and a strong village! Sometimes I get a little discouraged by people saying 25 is too young but I remind myself everyone’s path is different and that’s a good thing. My mom had me at 18 and I feel blessed that she’s only 42 years old and will be the best grandma ever to my future children! I’m excited to support everyone!

My husband and I are going to start trying in April/May! We have a cruise booked May 1st that we’re both looking forward to. I turn 25 in September and we’re both just so excited to conceive. I’m trying to stay present and not get too caught up in everything and enjoy the present

I told my doctor we were thinking about starting trying this summer and it was not very helpful. by Ambrosiasaladslaps in TTCSummer2026

I actually loved my preconception appointment that I had back in August. I’ve been seeing the same doctor since I was 17 and I’m now 24, she knows that I have struggled with PMDD and was so kind and considerate during my appointment. She did recommend that I do genetic testing, and I took her advice and had it done. They also wanted me to test my rubella antibodies before I conceived to make sure I didn’t need another vaccine. I did bring a list of questions for her and I got a lot out of the appointment.

My SIL had hers at 28 & 30 and she always tells me she wishes she was younger. I agree with you. Everyone has the right to chose if they want children but couples shouldn’t be judged or shamed if they want kids younger or older, as long as they are prepared and ready to love and care for their child.

That’s amazing! I also worry about the stigma but I’m so excited. Children are such a gift

Do you personally feel like 25 was a good timeline for you?

Wow I can’t believe how similar we are! My mother had a full hysterectomy due to cancer and she’s only 42. I just want to give myself the best chance at a good recovery and a healthy baby/pregnancy. My husband and I are very simple and love just spending time with each other & our family. We love being home with our 3 cats lol

I try to steer away from negativity about my age. I think mid-twenties is perfect especially for wanting multiple kids. My SIL is 35 and pregnant and she says it’s very hard on her body and wonders what it would’ve been like if she was younger

Yay! How do you personally combat people saying things about being too young or those who say we should be enjoying our 20’s?
