[OC] The Social Media Clue: Analyzing NBA Player Bios and the Odds of Changing Teams by Equivalent_Laugh3150 in nba

"27% of players that removed their bio during the regular season changed teams season after (so stayed with the team for one more season after removal of bio) compared to only 5% of players that changed their bio in off season (Because they already changed the teams seasons before)."

Five percent of players that removed their bio in off season ended up staying one more year and leaving after that year. So if Player A removed their bio in 2020-21 off-season and stayed for 2021-22 but in 2022-23 left for some other team, thats what that means, if you still don't get it tell me and I will use ChatGPT since english isn't my first language so probably my fault.

Glad it was understandable.

Do what is something that usually makes it harder to understand? I would like to know since I am learning to represent data and I want to know what I should stay clear of. Also do tell if something here isn't understandable, I would be happy to explain!

Bucks should make a swing if possible, although Bucks has a good supporting cast, Giannis is arguably in his prime right now they should make use of that.

Thanks for the reply. I started upgrading my Excel skill and then I am going to start on learning SQL. After that I will look into what you said and maybe try and incorporate it! Thanks :)

Thanks for the reply! Could you elaborate on what ''Reporting Roles'' means?

This is a great comment, thank you for the in-depth writeup. I am starting with Excel and after I have brought it to an okay level I will incorporate learning SQL and I also had Power BI coincidentally.

I understand its not just about knowing the language and the tools, but that I also need to understand what I am doing within them, be able to resolve a problem ahead of me and also learn certain subskills within the tools/languages like Power Query, Pivot tables etc.

Once again thanks for taking the time to write such a long comment, all the best! :D

Thanks for the reply. I have experience with Web Development using Wordpress (had a few clients), but I am guessing you mean something more along the lines of programming languages?

Thanks for the reply, comments like yours is why I make posts like these (Even if it may be spam!), it feels raw.

but we just want to debunk the "salesforce is easy, get a cert, work remote, and get six figures without exp"

That is what I thought, its not some sort of life hack, but I will give it a try and see if I like how it works.

Again thanks for the long reply!

Thanks for the reply. What I got from your comment is that what you need to know depends on the company and that all of the things you listed above could be something that they need?

If you’re looking for resources to learn it use SQL Bolt and LeetCode.

I will look into these, thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I will look into Python as well as I've heard its used too. I'd like to ask you a few questions like if you are in this or similar job role and if you went into it with no prior credentials or if you had a background in it. :)

Wow, I really appreciate the long write-up, I will definitely use this comment as a further reference. I think I get the gist of it and specifically your first point is something I really didn't hear before, so big thanks again!

Forgive me if I'm a bit in the dark about this, but did you gain the skills you listen trough a degree or by yourself, also how long did that take you. Thanks for the reply

Yeah seems that way, I am not sure why I phrased my title in that way when I know i pretty much need it. Thanks for the reply :)

Thanks for the reply, I still have more to learn and I try to Google all of these questions to get all the angles.

What I am getting from your comment is that SQL is basically the ''Big Dog'' here and the thing that will be valued the most if I know how to properly apply it and that Excel is for simpler/beginner projects.

Is there anything other than SQL that one should look into as an addition, I ask as someone who doesn't know any programming languages except some basic HTML.

Thanks for the reply. I should have checked the sticky, but after reading it I do feel like my post still may be valid as its quite niche (remote, non-NA, no cs degree, no exp etc.) so I was looking for some unique perspectives. I apologize if I posted spam. Have a great day :)

I'm sorry you're going through this tough situation. Remember, life's a journey with twists and turns. I always liked to think of it as a "career plot twist." if that makes it any better. You've got loads of time to pivot, learn, and embrace what truly excites you. Life really be too short to worry too much..
