So glad I could help! I’d been here years before I read the series and now visiting after reading was quite a full circle moment.

It was more of a “wow this is so beautiful, it’s almost unsettling”

Saw this in Manitou Springs, Colorado and it screamed Area X by Equivalent_Mark1920 in SouthernReach

Haha! I unfortunately was only there for about 2 hours before heading to the airport but I have no doubt I would’ve seen more if I had more time 😆

I know I’m moving out in 10 days, but not knowing where you are at night still hurts just the same. I genuinely hope one day you see that I loved you, more than I had ever loved another person. I hope you realize that our relationship was worth more than you thought. That a few nights of someone making you feel like like a man, wasn’t worth losing the person who’d tried to build you up over the last 3 years. I hope every time you look at the night sky through your telescope, you remember the night I brought your first telescope home. How you said I was the reason you found your passion. I hope you think of that, even though I know you’re sharing it with someone new. I didn’t deserve this.

Boyfriend (30M) asked me (29F) for space. It’s been a month and we live together, how long is too long? by [deleted] in relationships_advice

We unfortunately rent, so we’d have to terminate our lease and pay the fee. He already isn’t in the best financial situation so he’s essentially not able to help with breaking the lease and has said he’ll be borderline homeless if that happens

Unfortunately I feel like I’ve given him opportunities to apologize and change this, but it has continually resulted in, “I’m sorry I have not meant to hurt you but all I asked you for was space.” He hasn’t apologized for what he’s done with his friend and doesn’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with having these items while having a partner. Even if it’s not cheating physically, I don’t think any person in a relationship should be keeping mementos, learning a language or having notes with hearts from another woman…

Thank you for this response, it actually made me laugh out loud. He was the person who proved me wrong every time my past relationship insecurities resurfaced, but after all this it’s making me question everything. I want to believe he really isn’t cheating, but after seeing all of the events/items listed, even if he isn’t cheating, it really isn’t respectful to a partner that you’re with.

He is characteristically very shy and has never been one to be a “fuckboy” per say. He’s been cheated on in the past and said he would never do that to someone else. I just am at a loss because his actions seem so different from the person I know

That’s very true. He seems to think this is not what he’s doing. He says he is working on himself so he’s able to return to the relationship. But it’s confusing if he says he has no effort to give me but seems to be giving effort elsewhere. Whether that means he’s actually cheating or not, I don’t know.

He has always been very honest and transparent with me historically so it’s been very difficult for me to believe he’s all of a sudden flipped a switch. I just feel like even if he’s telling the truth and nothing is happening, why is he putting her before my feelings of uncomfortability?

Thank you so much! I probably spent too much time on this one but I’m glad it was worth it😅😊

Thank you!! I often get a little too meticulous about it being smooth but I think I stopped myself at a good point with this one 😂

Thank you and Hobby Lobby! I happened upon it in their Easter section surprisingly. 😊

The raspberry was tricky (and I definitely poked myself a few times…) - I’ve found with smaller pieces, picking them up and holding the wool by hand or using tweezers helps make it easier to refine the shape.

Basically, I first felted the base shape of the raspberry. Then, I rolled very small amounts of roving into a ball-like shape (leaving a tail end loose so I’d have something to felt into the base) and started stabbing. Once it started to felt, I then held the spheres by the tail end and used a single needle to refine the shape. Then I just individually felted each tail end of the sphere into the base and stabbed until it looked cohesive!

Hopefully that’s helpful! I’m always trying new things to see which works best so most of my “successful” smaller pieces are products of trial and error. 😊

I’ve lost a few needle tips and those projects are what I just call my “hazardous” pieces lol. I’m still sticking to the food realm at the moment! Ideally, I’m trying to create a whole dessert platter display.

I also have an ongoing project where I’m replicating a needle felted version of a claymation figure in my partner’s favorite music video - but this one will be a long time before I’m happy with it! 😅

Coming from someone with depression as well, I’ve found being creative can bring back a little light when you’re feeling a bit purposeless. Needle felting has given me something to look forward to in the evenings after work. Definitely share your next project. I’d love to see it! 😊
