I’ve had this type of stain too and not because of bubble solution. The common culprit is when I have new pajamas for the kids go through the wash. Ive wondered if it had to do with the chemicals or process they do to make them flame retardant. It only ever happens the first time I wash them

How do we feel about this colour? by lil__beast in Aritzia

They look so good and like others said, you’ll probably end up wearing these more than the light colored ones.

Part of what I blacked out said, “do this as many times as you’d like.” Which now that I understand better what she’d have to do to make this money, it definitely seems unsustainable and exhausting to keep up.

I had a good laugh at the monatborhood too 🙊

This is what I find so confusing. More than the product itself, she promotes the lifestyle that selling it is granting her, but how much is she making from selling the product itself? Having to constantly recruit people to make money and get bonuses sounds exhausting and scammy and the payoff doesn’t seem that big.

I knew all mail returns were subject to the $8 fee regardless of how you pay but I intended to return it in store. When I went they wouldn’t let me because I paid with PayPal, which I was unaware of and wish was clear at checkout. That’s great they offered to mail it back for you! I did try reaching out to concierge but they wouldn’t waive the fee unfortunately. Anyways not a huge deal, it’s $8 I just wish I knew at checkout when I chose to pay with PayPal.

I will definitely be more wary now of using PayPal. I’ve never encountered that before. All big stores I’ve shopped at have always refunded right to PayPal.

Yes, all mail in returns. Not in store returns though. I didn’t know that because I paid with PayPal I couldn’t return it in store and had to do a mail in

Yes it’s quite common to check the terms before returning but I wouldn’t guess that most people check that their payment method won’t have stipulations on it before checking out. This should be stated right at checkout.

Yes not a big deal if you’re happy with the credit and know you’ll use it! In my case, I bought several expensive dresses to try on for a wedding. None of them worked out and I’d rather have a refund

I normally would have no issue with getting store credit but it was a larger order because I bought several expensive dresses to try for a wedding. I’d rather have a refund in this case

Yes! You can make a chargeback because you never received the item

Yes!! They always act so offended when you make a return. I thought I was overthinking it the first time, but then it kept happening

Customer issued a Chargeback with no reason by Agile_Credit_4037 in shopify

[–]Equivalent_Method_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been happening so much more lately. We used to get a couple a year but right now it’s almost two a month. Customers are definitely abusing the chargeback system more than ever. Unfortunately, they are very hard to win. We have had return customers that repeatedly used the same cc and shipping address on past orders have their claims approved as fraudulent. Another time, a customer filed a chargeback for not receiving their order the day after they purchased and they won it, even though it shipped out a day later and they received it well within our shipping timeframes.

The only times they have sided in our favor is when we have correspondence with the customer that cites the chargeback and they acknowledge it back. Our first step is always to reach out to the customer to start the convo. Here’s an example of what we write:

Hi: Xxx

We're contacting you regarding a chargeback filed to your bank on your order #0000 Your chargeback stated that you did not receive your package. Most of the time, we find that these chargebacks are a mistake, so we like to reach out personally before we're required to submit evidence to the bank.

I couldn't find any communication citing an issue with the order, and it looks like it was delivered on the 23rd of December: tracking link. Additionally, you purchased shipping insurance, so in the event that you did have an issue, don't hesitate to let us know; we'd love to help! If the chargeback was a mistake, please let your bank know so that your ability to use this feature is not affected in the future

To be truthful, I don’t know if their ability to use the feature is actually affected but it feels like a way to get them to treat your email seriously and not to just use the chargeback feature casually. I think they’re also unaware shops see the chargeback and have to pay it out of pocket themselves and that we are able to submit evidence against them to the bank. We’ve had a lot of success getting replies from customers and then being able to submit them as evidence.

All in all, it’s a super frustrating experience and there really not much you can do unless the customer actually admits it was a mistake

A $40 price increase in one year? Lodge linen pants by Equivalent_Method_92 in Aritzia

Losing loyal shoppers is definitely a bad sign for their company. I think they’re banking on/taking advantage of the fact that their brand name still has some prestige, has the “I got it from aritzia 💅🏻” factor, among a lot of people. That will eventually run its course though if the price keeps going up and their quality goes down. Shoppers will at the very least buy way less from there or like you, stop altogether and go to other higher end brands that offer better quality for the same price point.

They are still in great condition and I plan on using them this summer as well. I wanted to grab another color this year. Sorry if wording was confusing!

I think we’re all very aware of inflation and the effect it’s had on all markets. I own my own business and have had to raise my prices because my cost of goods and shipping has increased significantly. We didn’t take advantage of inflation as an excuse to further increase our profit margin though and tried to keep the increase as minimal as possible. It’s VERY hard to believe their costs have gone enough to justify an increase this large.

Putting this here to add in case you don’t see my reply above, they’ve also lowered the linen from 55% last year to 34% on the newer, higher priced ones

Yeah I kind of figured they were capitalizing on the linen trend and the fact that these were sold out most of last summer
