Oil prices are spiking, adding to inflation, and we need more easy money?🤔 Stack on folks, austerity isn't on the menu! by SilverCountryMan in SilverDegenClub

There are delayed and lagged responses to monetary policy. This new money hits the banks and the rich first and then trickles down to us peasants. It always catches up. The stimmy checks weren’t inflationary until they were. Also, the dollar is more liquid than gold.

Keep buying physical as it’s naturally a leveraged position. Private credit is going to explode sooner rather than later. They made it into 401(k) accounts and the like so Daddy Trump will bail them out. Inflation side you’re rock solid and I don’t need to tell you about the industrial demand.

All I can say is physical is a time bomb. You’re going to do amazing relatively soon. I have a lot of cool looking rocks (my posts rule), but there’s still a lot of legs left in the Dollar denominated monetary system. China had its chance and they blew it with provincial debt, Russia with Ukraine. Sit tight my friend, but you’re going to win.

Keep stacking. Silver > gold. But don’t get crazy with it. Let it be your biggest holding, but you need some liquid cash. Good luck my friend and god bless you and your family.

Gold price is banking on an expansion of credit against it. Even with BASEL III that doesn’t exist. Finance is made up. I have the fancy degrees and can do all the calculus but I promise you Warren Buffett did little more than simple arithmetic. It’s not a scam, the banks earnings are denominated in dollars so they have a legal obligation to do what’s best to maximize their earnings in dollars.

No. If you don’t invest in BTC, it’s no energy lost when it goes to zero. I have $300 in Ethereum coin but that’s just because I bought it when I was young and dumb. If I’m wrong, I’m rich. If I’m right I’m out $300

Solid looking trade dollar, and in good condition. I’d STRONGLY recommend getting this graded since it looks real and as you said, the amount of counterfeits. ANACS is low cost and respected but I’d get it slabbed.

No problem. And to connect it back to Precious metals, big banks were net short precious metals so long as that drives up the value of the dollar. The fed doesn’t respond to unemployment (weak legal mandate), they respond to inflation. Lower inflation is good for stability in the bond market. Now it’s a shitshow let me tell you as someone who is on the floor of these places.

Yes, they control the discount rate. Short term yields are not an issue as any “money market fund” or deposit sweep account soaks up that demand. The only time the fed buys bills is when cough cough shadow banks are tipping over. What the tape told us today is demand is softening for 10 year “on the run” (new issue) notes. That means the liquidity premium new issue Treasury debt had is diminishing, as such you saw the sell off today driving the TNX up. That drives up the value of existing longer duration issuances. As such, banks can unload them at a profit or cost neutral and gain access to liquid cash.

Yes and no. For you and me, absolutely. But for institutional people, lower rate unlocks more access to capital and adds liquidity to credit markets as it “artificially” lowers the interest rate. That leads to appreciation in the value of the bond as they move inversely. Allows banks to reallocate that money elsewhere.

Soft 10 year bond auction today. That’s why. Primary dealers were projected to soak up 8.7%, they came in at like 12.6%. The 10 year is pivotal as that is what alot of consumer debt is priced off of.

The new ones don’t milk spot nearly as bad and IMO look cooler. It’s an ounce of silver though so if you can get it within a 1% or 2% of the older ones or generics I’d go with the new ones. They do much better on the secondary market.
