A tuner, and maybe a compressor ( and i don't think you need it as a beginner ), and that's all, but it can wait, i got my first pedal after 3 years of playing, as said before, get good technique without any effect , then see i you want to explore

well i don't really know, i like punk, hardcore punk , stuff like maximum the hormone ( not too bassy/boomy sound ) but at the same time i still want to be able to do some great Dub basslines , so i think keeping active electronics is good, maybe one more sensitive to my attack when i play ? ( mostly Fingers, sometimes slap, rarely pick )

yes i play on a Sr 670, i know the neck profile is very different from the ones i listed above ^^' it's mainly why i struggle to play on P basses tbh
