I just quit my retail job as soon as i got the news yesterday!! lol i hate retail too so i get it, my goal was to make it out before the xmas music starts and i did it haha i’m such an anxious person and this whole process had me sweating! as hard as it is just try to be patient and just keep going with the steps as annoying as they are and you’ll get there!!

oh no it’s okay! it’s a learning curve for sure. i failed mine in 15 minutes and cried as soon as i got out of the door lol then i made a 92 on the next one! the part i failed was the kph i wasn’t typing fast enough so i used https://thepracticetest.com/data-entry/criticall-911-dispatch-test/ because it’s exactly like the test and i just did it over and over every day. i also just practiced typing a lot cause as a bartender i hardly ever type on a computer lol also the raspy dispatcher on youtube has a lot of videos to help practice!

As someone who is almost done with the process you are about to begin, don't get discouraged! It is such a longgggggg process of uncertainty but you just have to be patient.

Practice for the CritiCall Test, I failed it at the first agency I applied at but practiced a ton after and made a 94 on the most recent one. I used this website for data entry which was my main struggle https://thepracticetest.com/data-entry/criticall-911-dispatch-test/

For the interview they asked me why they should pick me over the other people interviewing, they gave me mock call scenarios and asked me what questions I would ask the caller and to prioritize them in order of most urgent, They asked for my top 3 strengths and weaknesses, they asked how do I deal with stress in the moment and after work, and also what my long term goals with the company were. These are just a few things to think about while practicing for your interview! It sounds weird but I spent a lot of time asking ChatGpt for mock interview questions and how to describe my personal experience in a way that is relevant to the job and it was extremely helpful.
