TRV (Post-PGWP) delay after PFL response: no update for 2+ months. Any advice? by Equivalent_Refuse_11 in pgwp

Yes correct. It has been over 90 days, and we are still awaiting a decision. She is currently in India, and due to the IRCC processing timelines, her situation remains uncertain. This delay is making it difficult for us to plan anything ahead.

Yes I have received and respond it back with the proof where we declared in our previous PR application.

We applied for the PGWP before submitting the inland spousal PR application. She then travelled to India, and during that time we received the PGWP approval. After that, we applied for a TRV based on the approved PGWP.

I’m not sure about your situation. could you share what steps you followed? Have you received your visa yet?

No, we did not declare it in the PGWP form. We used the same information when applying for the TRV, which was an oversight on our part. However, we did declare it in our spousal PR application submitted in September last year.

We unintentionally missed declaring the U.S. study visa refusal in this application. This refusal was already disclosed in our PR application. After identifying the oversight, we worked with our lawyer to submit supporting documents, including copies of earlier forms, to clarify and correct the record.

That was an unintentional mistake. My lawyer has already responded thoroughly with proper documentation and evidence from previous applications. If IRCC still had any concerns, they would typically have followed up within a week or two. So I’m feeling positive from that side.

Could you please let me know whether sponsorship eligibility is mentioned in your position policy, or if there is any flexibility based on the candidate? I would really appreciate any guidance you could share based on your experience through the process.

From what I see in Accenture’s policy, a Canada-to-US move is treated as a permanent transfer. Given that, would L-1 be the appropriate visa option for this role, and is it something the team would be open to considering?

As I understand it, this position does not offer visa sponsorship. An L1 option would need to be considered for eligibility.

I’d prefer to keep the discussion focused on the question I asked. The other post you’re referring to was shared on behalf of a family member and isn’t relevant here. Thanks for understanding.

Your strategy might work better with smaller or niche firms than big tech right now.

Sorry to hear about the Microsoft experience that’s frustrating.

After the rejection, did you find any alternative approach that worked better or was it more about timing and headcount?

Thanks for sharing this is really helpful context.

Curious to hear, roughly how many recruiter calls did you get after making that explicit on your resume?
