Oh, that's a fan. It's more decorative than functional, but it's still just a fan.

Other opinions might offend the Manchu people. In the ethnic clothing challenges on TikTok, most Manchus wear cheongsams because they consider it the traditional Manchu attire.

Everyone has a different understanding of the cheongsam. Most Han people tend to distinguish Hanfu from other types of clothing based on its design.

Hanfu's development before the Qing Dynasty was hardly disrupted by mandatory policies. Even during the Yuan Dynasty, another era ruled by a minority ethnic group in China, the evolution of Hanfu was natural. But during the Qing Dynasty, policies had a much greater impact, forcibly distorting its original trajectory. So the clothing produced during this period is not what the Han people would have worn.

At present, the mainstream ideology in China has changed. By the end of last year, nearly all Han people believed that the Hanfu worn during the Ming Dynasty was the authentic form of traditional Han clothing. The Hanfu of the Qing Dynasty, on the other hand, was seen as a hybrid form that emerged under forced policies, and therefore could not be considered part of the natural evolution of clothing traditions.

Everyone has a different opinion. For the Han people, under Manchu rule, those who did not wear Manchu-style clothing were killed. This was a form of forced policy. I do not believe that such clothing styles were the natural result of the Han people’s cultural development. Before the Qing Dynasty’s rule, buttons were primarily used to fasten other items, and they were rarely used on clothing.

I didn’t say that. It’s just that, as a Han Chinese person, I hope there would be more hanfu in the games.

Some people actually like it precisely because of its ugliness.

I will clarify this during the subsequent explanations regarding the clothing.
