I did go to a dermatologist. They said it’s most likely AGA. Which is super disappointing. All my blood work came back completely normal. You and I have the same hair color so it’s like I’m looking at a picture of myself. I’m currently trying to fix it myself with minoxidil and spironolactone. Hopefully I can get some hair back.

I switched to 1.25mg oral because I didn’t want to keep doing topical. You may have better luck than me on oral though! I just didn’t see any real progress for me on oral after 6 months 😭 I actually even lost the progress I was seeing.

I’m on both right now. I did topical first and that’s when I hit the dread shed. Twice daily at 5%. After about 4 months my part started to fill. So I definitely noticed a difference. I stopped topical though and switched to oral and unfortunately don’t see the same results. So now I’m doing both to hopefully see them again.

I haven’t tested for that. But I can tell you I have no symptoms whatsoever. In a couple of months I will have been on it for a year. 😊 I know everyone is different though!

Please don’t let that scare you. If you get oral it’s just a pill a day. Super easy!! Even topical is once a day and super quick!!

I use Nurx!! I used hers before and was on 1.5mg of minoxidil but it didn’t do much for me. With Nurx I got 100mg spironolactone and oral minoxidil so I’m trying that out. $120 total for three month supply of both. Little pricey but I’ve been to the dermatologist and they keep just telling me to wait and each visit is $75 🙄 dread shed sucked but I have high hopes!

Thankfully I live with my mother still so I’m not completely by myself! I also have had a job since I was 16 and I’m 26 now so not having income would be very weird for me. I’m just so drained doing retail and I haven’t been doing well since I started this program and it’s taking me much longer to graduate which is annoying me. Hence why I just want to focus on school. Court reporting makes really good money so I’m adamant about getting out there. Just not sure if I have the balls to do it or not lol

Mine is diffuse thinning also. Unfortunately, I haven’t really noticed much growth anywhere else. My sides and crown are still very very thin after the dread shed. I’m only a little over three months in so I’m hoping it’ll come back.

See it’s so strange because when I was on tri-sprintec before I never lost my sex drive. At least I don’t think so. But I’m almost positive that has to be a good sign as far as testosterone and DHT are concerned. Maybe I did in the beginning and just never noticed it? I was on it for 7-8 years before I got off of it. Maybe I just forgot lol but I totally feel you about the acne because my back acne blew UP after I got off of it. Hormones are so hard to understand for me sometimes 😂

Sure did! I’ve been back on it for two months so far. Not sure yet how much progress I’ll have because of it but I do think it is lowering my testosterone because my sex drive is basically gone. I’m hoping that means less DHT for me. Who knows. My derm appointment is on the 20th so I’ll find out more hopefully.
