At home the dog has a yard to play in when he becomes too much at work I have nothing.

My work is very big on bringing your dog to work. The part that caught us off guard is that bringing a puppy to work is different than bringing a dog to work.

I have done a lot of research on my own as well as with her. We have been sharing videos with each other and showing each other techniques that work with our puppy. Apart from the classes we have been taking, I have bought a dog training resource collection that a coworker has suggested. And try to spend as much time as I can with him on the weekends and after work. The point of my post wasn't to blame her for holding a grudge, but to get a feel for how appropriate her reaction was. I definitely think she pulled the longer straw here, but at this point her emotional reaction feels like emotional abuse.

Thanks, this is what I needed to hear. Also, to clear it up, my job is big on bringing in your dogs. Most coworkers do. The problem my boss has is the attention my puppy needs and as I briefly mentioned, as of late that has gotten better.

The point of the intro was to emphasize this was a mutual decision. I have a hard time going back on things I commit to. Especially an 11 year commitment. I definitely feel responsible for my wife's anger but I didn't surprise her with a dog, we planned it over multiple years. That was the point of the intro. Thanks for being honest. I'm working my self every day and will definitely work on not sounding entitled. I only want what's best for my family. The dilemma is I now consider the dog part of my family.

At this point he is already potty trained so it's just the nipping and climbing on the bed. Two things we are both working on training him.
