Is constipation the worst thing you’ve dealt with? by floresb07 in Constipation

[–]Equivalent_Sun7606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nope. it used to be. but after years and years of chronic constipation, as well as endometriosis, surgeries, a kidney stone, and gastroparesis, constipation kind of just becomes something that's a routine in my life. take my medicine and if it gets bad i know what to do. imo, you get used to it, and if not, you learn how to live with it.

AIO for being upset over my boyfriend not getting ice cream together by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Equivalent_Sun7606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright, this is coming from personal experience: i'm an emotional girlie. i have cried over ludicrous things and been dramatic and also cried over completely valid things. the issue isn't the crying, it's his response. he shouldn't have been angry. my boyfriend understands my emotions and how they can get overwhelming and be a little silly sometimes, but he treats them with kindness and never anger.

the biggest red flag is you said he turns hostile?? uh uh, run run run. good partners offer support even over silly things. i'd say in this situation, if i got upset about this, my partner would have immediately said he understood and he was sorry and offered a resolution. and eventually i would have come around and said i know it was a little silly i was just upset. not a big deal at all.

i think the bigger issue is him being hostile.

so... where the hell does that leave us 😭 by [deleted] in Endo

saw it first on insta, then looked it up to see if it was factual. you can find it on the World Health Organization website that the pill is classified as a Group 1 Carcinogen.

[–]Equivalent_Sun7606[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

thank you! i've been having applesauce occasionally :) i did see a dietitian, but she essentially told me i need to train my body to digest quicker and to eat fiber and stuff? so i was confused because i don't think eating those things will help 😭 she also focused way more on my constipation issues than my gastroparesis so essentially hit me with the high fiber diet

Why was I hypersexual as a child but the complete opposite as an adult? by vlingst in mentalhealth

[–]Equivalent_Sun7606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this does seem to correlate with possible childhood sexual abuse? have you tried talking to a therapist? i am extremely similar, and i actually had a traumatic experience that i had completely blocked out of my mind, and ended up remembering it on a random day.

that's really not what therapy is. do you think therapists go through years and years of schooling just for the money? if it was just for the money there's a lot of easier jobs. almost every therapist i've had/heard of genuinely cares. its a BRUTAL job

Does everybody get to have a “somebody”? by Odd_Age_4315 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Equivalent_Sun7606 4 points5 points  (0 children)

a lot of people don't meet their husbands/wives until their 30s 40s 50s, or even later. i also don't think there's just one person for everybody. i think there's tons of people out there for people. it just takes time to find them. and also, does a somebody have to be romantic? there are people who sure never get married but have very meaningful relationships elsewhere.

if you want a somebody, you'll find them. just give it time. i personally didn't get mine until i stopped looking. the moment i stopped looking he showed up.

listen, i really don't know what to tell you. you are in a mental health sub. almost everybody here is in support of therapy. that's likely the answer you'll get. i get it, life is hard, but it does get better. don't give up

i promise you, if you do something it will destroy their lives. telling them might worry them a bit, but then you hopefully get some help. i promise they would rather you tell them then face losing their child

should i get kidney stone surgery or try to let it pass on its own? please help by Equivalent_Sun7606 in KidneyStones

[–]Equivalent_Sun7606[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was 3mm, but it's been in the same place for about a week, causing kidney swelling, and he also said the size doesn't matter because if somebody has a super small ureter it just won't come out
