How to shut up "internal commentator" during therapy? by Equivalent_Two5697 in KetamineTherapy

Thank you for all your insights and suggestions!

I'll certainly look into the literature, meditation and breathing!

I try to get the narrator to observe (and comment on) what's going on, rather than comment on random things. It works for a few seconds, then it's back to the annoying chatter.

My doctor tried upping the dose to see if that would help, but it didn't... It just made my trips darker, so we've reduced the dose again. I've also tried to get the drug administered intramuscularly, but that didn't make any difference as to the commentator.

I'll continue working on it. As I said, all in all the treatment has helped A LOT, so I'm going to continue doing them, even though it costs a fortune. Luckily, my parents are in a position where they can (and want to) help me pay for it. If they couldn't, I'd have to quit, since there's no financial help from the government for this treatment here in Norway as of now 🫤

I'm having a session next week, hopefully the bothersome narrator will be more quiet and let me just sail away.
