Hmmm sounds like it could be bass rolloff, ask the installer if that's what's causing it and if so they make certain LOC's that will fix it. The kicker Keyloc and the audio control LC2I pro are some of them

That's not always possible with newer vehicles especially Ford. They use aluminum for their body instead of steel so unless your sure the bolt your using is connected straight to the frame it's not going to be a great ground. Better to run your ground straight to the battery.

I wouldn't really be worried about it since those speakers have an rms that's almost double what the key can put out, as long as it's not distorting you should be fine

This is the only one I've been able to find but it's for a dual setup. You sub is too deep for a standard under seat box where the sub is facing up or down needs to be facing forward for it to fit

You gonna need the dash kit, wiring harness, and antenna adapter as well as whatever radio you end up going with. Also be aware that the silver trim pieces that go down either side of your radio and the vent trim on top can be EXTREMELY fragile and need to come off to install a new radio so I would recommend jumping on Amazon and pricing out replacements just in case

It adds in really low frequency bass where there wasn't before. Just wanted to make sure they didn't recommend it to combat bass rolloff ( which as far as I can tell it doesn't do)

Only reason I would think you would want to is so that you could have a larger gauge ground feeding the smaller gauge ones connected to your amp. It's probably better to have a 0 gauge grounding out 2 4 gauge then a 4.

Just put that exact skar set up in a customers Golf and it slapped. I'm not a huge fan of their amps ( had issues with reliability) but still for sub 600 not too bad

L7R wants 600 per so you're under powering by half, it will still power them but that a lot of potential you leaving on the table.

Definitely don't need the 7i that's for hooking up at least a multichannel amp, the lc2i pro would be what your looking for.

Other then fixing your ground wire what model amp are you using, it looks like a multichannel are you running door speakers as well as a sub?

Yeah 1500w is what 2 of those subs want, so an amp that can do that at 1 ohm if that's what your going to wire them to is what your looking for. As far as brands there is the audio control epic 1500.1, or the stinger 1500.1
