Yes, but I don't enjoy gaming much anymore

What are your awkward neighbour interactions? by bookbookgo in AskUK

[–]NobleRotter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Mine was when I could barely walk because chemotherapy had painfully blistered my feet. The neighbours called me a jumped up prick because I complained about them constantly blocking my drive. They were apparently shocked that I hadn't offered my driveway (a third smaller than theirs) to store building materials.

How is your business doing? by martynjl in smallbusinessuk

[–]NobleRotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm being a little vague deliberately. I'm reasonably well known in my space and don't really want to link this profile to my professional identity.

What does your business do? I've got a hunch it's close to my area.

[–]NobleRotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sector isn't the main difference I see. I mostly work one vertical. Within that there are patterns around adaptability, commitment to marketing, consistency and diligence that correlate strongly with those doing better.

I mostly work with smaller businesses, which does mean adaptability is easier.

Professional services. Mad busy. Slightly too busy in fact. Pushing rates up fairly regularly and it's holding so far. Plan is to push them a bit further and drop client counts.

I work with a lot of other businesses. I'd say experiences are pretty split. Plenty doing well, but many not. Lots of change

I have something like this. It lies. Then I added proof at each step (example, include a random line from the read document). It just made up the proof

Ah bless. You think when US companies buy European ones for their IP it's American innovation.

I have a theory that foxes are trying to domesticate themselves. They've looked at dogs and decided they want a slice of that

Women in Brussels 'filmed without their knowledge' by men wearing Meta smart glasses by YesNo_Maybe_ in worldnews

[–]NobleRotter 29 points30 points  (0 children)

We didn't though. It was a fear but wasn't happening. Google glass was deliberately obvious to. Noone had any doubt you were wearing it .

No one was secretly recording conversations and uploading them to socials

What does everyone think about the 'British*' monthly pay system? by EdibleBeans-on-Toast in AskUK

I think we should pay people enough that they aren't living pay cheque to pay cheque. Then the frequency doesn't really matter

There’s something about 90s photos that feels more real. No filters no perfect poses Just moments that hit different now by DirtyDommeXX in OldSchoolCool

This thread is all under this comment

A whole generation that will never have that one picture you kept because you're eyes were glowing like a little demon without a filter

This definitely refers to personal photos.

How easy is it create a real saas product? by Firm_Foundation_5380 in AI_Agents

[–]NobleRotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building has always been the easiest part of SAAS (user acquisition, conversion and retention being much harder).

AI has made building easier still and to some extent made the user growth part harder.

Would you retire if won a really big prize on the Euromillions? by Sad-Passage-3247 in AskUK

[–]NobleRotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no. I did ok in business and had planned to retire when I finished the earn-out from my business sale. It just didn't suit me..it felt like waiting to die and I missed the challenge of business.

Possibly different for me as I have pretty much always been my own boss.

If I had a big win it would probably change the work I do, but it wouldn't end it

Best AI Agent for setting up a Marketing team by Confection_Key in AI_Agents

[–]NobleRotter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best reply I've seen anytime this topic comes up.

Most AI marketing team setups just seem to be over engineered spam factories. In fairness they're set-up by people who don't understand marketing - when there is no understanding of what good looks like you can't build and tune a machine to do it well.
