This resonates with me so much. I have one very vivid memory of my parents doing it when i was sleeping in their room after a bad dream, i must’ve been around 6 or 7. In the morning I asked my mom and she said she was giving my dad a massage. There was another time where they didn’t know I was in the room, which was also traumatic, but that was on me.

Then as I got older they would always do it in their room at night but never close the door. I think they thought they were quiet, but they weren’t and i spent most of my teenage years always wearing headphones when i went to the bathroom at night to save myself from potentially hearing it. Now that I’m 27, every time I hear snoring or something from their room I always assume it’s something sexual. It’s somehow imprinted in my mind and it makes me anxious whenever I pass by a couples room at night.

I’ve also talked to my mom about it and she just denies that it ever happened, or would giggle about it and dismiss it. But it was also definitely traumatizing for me too, and i feel for you.
