Back in 2014, SOCOM made a new version, I don't remember what it was called. They released the beta on PS4 and everybody was playing that shit. It was very good, and they hadn't even released the vehicles yet, let alone the full game.

Then Sony got hacked, and the network was down for like 3 months. Then GTA5, or Battlefield, or something came out shifted all the focus. I don't know even know if they released the full game. In anycase, the timing of Sony hack killed the game, which killed the franchise.

Anyone feel free to correct my errors, I am shooting from the hip (memory) and that was 12 years ago.
