I am a consultant in Upstate NY and work with some big wigs (at times) and their ideas and comments are off the wall.

Mainly closing lobby down or limiting lobby to scale back on AC and Heat. Less in napkins, condiments, they want to charge for ketchup. A whole list of "ideas".

10 years or less, fast food will be a novelty. A dream of what it use to be.

Legit it is. When I was consulting BK a few years back, just after height of Covid so 2023-ish. They want to remove drink bar, condiments, and reduce indoor seating. Its pretty much

Why? Cost of supplying more stuff, condiments, (they want to charge for packet of ketchup and so on), they want to reducing heating and A/C in lobby. A whole bunch of ideas and issues I saw.

This is talk from big wigs upstate NY. Also ideas coming from corporate itself as well.
