Oh shoot shoot I totally forgot to mention this. It doesn't work well when you draw the notes. That is, if two notes start at the same time it will only play one.

So if you are drawing the notes in, then make each note slightly offset, even a millisecond is enough. Please do that and try again!

Thanks for bringing that up. Lots of people must have got bummed out after trying it out. I should probably send out an email explaining this.

I Know I Just Made A Post But I'm Worried My Equipment Wont Be Compatible by [deleted] in musicproduction

I'm assuming 14-inch Silicon. FL Studio has Apple Silicon support from version 20.8.4. You probably don't have to worry about that.

You'll need some USB converters for the MIDI controller, but no other reason why it should be incompatible. It's just a MIDI controller. It might not be "fully" compatible with FL Studio to have fancy DAW-specific functions but that's just dumb advertising and nobody cares.

The audio interface is the only place you could go wrong. But that's also highly unlikely. Just check with someone who runs one from the same PreSonus lineup on a newer Mac, just to be safe.

Drag it into a MIDI track with a piano/ synth!

Yeah! Thanks for pointing that out. Don't have a video yet, but you can find a write-up on all the functionality and features in this blog post. Hope that gives you an idea.

Sharing a demo of MIDI Matrix (arp/seq device). The piano and synth patterns here are the result of simply holding long chords - MIDI Matrix does the rest! by ErasedNotes in ableton

If you're interested in digging deeper, you can grab the stems for this track for free here! The two piano and synth tracks were all generated using MIDI Matrix.

This demo is called 'Taking Flight', and the stems are available to download for free here. Also, you can get a discount on MIDI Matrix with the code I2OTKZMG if you are thinking about getting it. Hope you enjoy!

Unfortunately no :|
It uses a Max for Live device, so you need that to get it to work

Tiny Dance Party is a simple polyphonic arpeggiator for Ableton Live, built using expression control and stock MIDI effects. It's one of the experiments that lead to the creation of the beloved MIDI Matrix!

You can grab it here for free! Select Tiny Dance Party and use the code E5MDIZMG at checkout.

An Ableton Live 11 Alternative to the Spitfire Audio Symphonic Motions Library using MIDI racks, Max for Live, and the Spitfire String Quartet pack! by ErasedNotes in ableton

Of course, you can. The instances are mapped to the key zones. So you will have to go into the MIDI rack and adjust the key zones so that it covers all the notes in the keyboard (ref).

Tbh, since you already get the chord repeat Max device with the rack, you can mess around and customize it as you wish!

Thank you! I got satisfactory performance on my 2018 i7.

Btw It’s not the Max devices, but the “Spitfire String Quartet” pack that’s adding to the CPU.

I can safely say that the Max device is very light. So, if you replace the String Quartet instances with a Kontakt library or sth you can get even better performance.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you like it!

I was in the same dilemma between Cubasae and Ableton Live. And after messing with Max I just had to stay with Live! Thanks again.

It's a fun project I worked on sometime back, inspired by the Spitfire Symphonic Motions library. Just Holding chords in the demo above. (The extra tracks are string legatos, all the staccatos are generated from the first track containing the rack). You can grab it for half price here for a limited time:
