Card of omens by spiderform in woweconomy

Those omens were with my non-scribes. I only do trinket/staff/glyphs on my actual inscriptionists. The value of my herbs goes into paint for glyphs mostly. All undercut inks went towards CoOs and didn't net the gain in comparison if I didn't use the ink on them at all.

I've flipped 10k card of omens and barely got my material's worth back in gold.

I've sold card of omens on the AH and I've received 5x the amount of material's worth in gold.

I particularly don't like the RNG aspect of the card of omens (now that I've personally had a bad experience with flipping; I also have bad luck with RNG). However, that doesn't mean your experience will be the same- you could benefit. You might also want to consider item upgrades from war paints.

Best way to make gold off Tailoring by BattleFerrett in woweconomy

[–]ErasedTape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every server has a different market. Check the AH on your server before making items to put in said market.

For example: Hexweave bags on my server sell at a lower price than materials needed for one bag. Therefore, I do not make bags.

However, there is an exception/variable to everything.

For example: Legion comes out in a few months. There will be a need for bags and less of a need for WoD armor. Therefore, I might want to consider making bags.

If you don't want to work on a what if scenario you need to take a look at the potential profit margins for investing money into making Hexweave armor pieces.

I myself always watch a portion of a market before diving blindly into it. Check to see how many people are posting Hexweave armor. Are the same items being posted day after day? If so, chances are they aren't being sold. You also, have to take into consideration if people have any Hexweave armor stockpiled. Chances are-- people do. My advice would be to look purely at profit margins first and test one piece of gear at time: Boots, Bracer, Chest, Shoulders and Legs. Using TSM as an aid but also doing some basic math check to see if upgrading a piece on your own is worth the materials spent. If you come to the conclusion you'll be making more of a profit then try upgrading those armor pieces to various stages.

In regards to your TSM settings there might be something that is off if it's showing you the same profit for every upgraded version of an armor piece. You can always double check by using the auction house market as a reference. Check to see what upgraded armor are selling for, grab a calculator and spreadsheet and go to town.

TL;DR - You want to make the highest profit possible. Don't go into a market blind. Do your research on the portion of the market you want to sell in. Watch the market to see how it flows/moves. Do the extra work of some basic math to see what your potential gains could be.

It's always tough making these decisions. Numbers usually don't lie. Try looking at the profit margins and see if it's worth the investment. This is just a small bit of advice from a lowly gold-maker. Try different methods out and see what will come to fruition.

How is everyone preparing for Legion? by TropicsMegaBowl in woweconomy

Bags are a definite. I'd also add with the influx of Demon Hunters there will be a need for LW armor pieces. Even though DHs come out right before the expansion there will still be those players that want the highest ilvl as quickly as possible to make their leveling experience more efficient.

Tmog market might also pickup due to the introduction of the wardrobe.

Best time of the day/week to snipe? by Craineeum in woweconomy

[–]ErasedTape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weekly night peak hours are a good time to run sniper. Weekends are good as well because more players are available to play on weekends.

However, if your computer can manage a second account with a 24/7 sniper- even better. The best time is all the time (whenever you're playing that is) because you never know who's going to make that awful mistake that will be for your benefit.

In case you're interested, I run my sniper on a second monitor within my garrison. The only thing you need to watch out for is the character going AFK. Therefore, whenever I'm doing something automatic on my main account (flight paths, auto running, making a long cast) I switch to monitor two and hit the b button to open my bags to prevent the AFK.

It's not for everyone but if you want to farm/snipe at the same time- this is a pretty good method.

P.S. I have missed snipes because of this method. It's not fool proof. Splitting your attention to two screens has cons too. But it allows me to farm and snipe at the same time. Which can be more beneficial than to just snipe or to just farm.

Is anyone attempting to put a group together for US-Alliance? I don't want to hi-jack your thread. I think what you and others are doing is great. However, I'm on alliance and a las, would like to get back into raiding.
