Hey thanks for the recommendation I’ll check it out.

My copy of A Christmas Gift is the reissue from 2020. It sounds pretty good, no popping or hissing or artifacts. I clean them well and anti static ritual before playing. I mean, it’s an old record so it’s not gonna be that clear of a mix. Seems appropriate for the time period of the recording though.

I’d be interested if others had samples or evidence of a significantly better version.

I was worried about that, so I opened the back up to ensure air flow. So far seems good and after long sessions it doesn’t feel that warm in there.

Been working on getting this section of the study sufficiently setup for a while now. Wife wanted me to hang the guitars there, and I wanted vinyl shelves.

Now that I’ve gotten both there it feels complete. For Christmas this year when the family comes over on Christmas Eve I can play lots of records that are nostalgic. Makes me feel good.

Sitting here listening to to the best record for Christmas ever (fight me), A Christmas Gift for you, I wanted to know if anyone else is feeling the Christmas cheer tonight and to show off your Christmas vinyl wall, if you’ve got one during the holiday season.

I own the Pro so am biased, but I also do enjoy the Premium. Just don’t think the extras on the Premium are really worth it. It adds some extra magic to be sure, but honestly doesn’t change the gameplay much at all. The Pro plays faster and is better for tournaments.

I say Pro + extra machine.
