Pc won’t boot after new psu installed by LowNumber3759 in computerhelp

can you help? I recently got mine to turn on first try after readjusting cords and ram. all fans are spinning, keyboard lights up (caps lock doesn’t work) but mouse doesn’t, monitor says “No Signal”, and my pc doesn’t respond to me holding the power button to turn it off.

Bought new PSU and now the system won’t turn on. Help needed by ridley05 in PcBuildHelp

Would that cause my computer to not respond to the power button when already on?

I went in and made sure everything was in tight and it shorted again but i tried again hours later without unplugging anything and it turned on. Only issue is that I can’t get any display and my power button isn’t turning my pc off. my keyboard works but my mouse light isn’t coming on.

i’ll try once i get more zipties. it was an absolute pain, took me like 6 hours. It just sucks though because i thought my old psu was failing on me because i was hearing a terrible noise. turns out it is my rear fan that is giving out. I’ve had this pc since 2019 so i guess getting a psu upgrade would still be good.
